I bought the 2.0 for my parents even though they do not usually drink brewed coffee (they drink hot tea and instant coffee) I thought it would be an easier way for them to get hot water for their beverages and would be able to brew a cup of coffee for their friends when they visited. Little did I know how complicated Keurig has become. I own a Keurig and love it. I can choose between three different sizes of coffee water with a simple push of a button. The 2.0 is not nearly as user friendly as the old version. I've tried to help my parents learn how to brew with the 2.0 but after reading the instructions many times, even I am confused. I just want this new brewer to brew a decent sized cup of coffee without going through so many menu screens. I've tried to save a 14 oz. brew to favorites....complicated. The coffee isn't as hot as the old brewer either. I am surrendering to this difficult machine....I am forced to return it and get an old model or change to a different brand completely. So disappointed Keurig!
Pros: Large Pot
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Long Brew Time, Complicated Controls

Hi dadeweme, To set the appropriate brew size. When the system identifies the kind of pack inserted into the brewer, the brewer will automatically set itself to brew the pack at its optimized brew setting. As with current Keurig brewers, you can adjust the size to suit your individual taste preferences. The optimal size will appear in the upper righthand corner of the brewer screen. By touching the arrow keys, you can scroll up and down the available size range appropriate for the portion pack type. Keurig has set the brew temperature to optimize taste. For K-Cup packs, the brew temperature is set at 193 degrees Fahrenheit. For Vue and K-Carafe packs, the brew temperature is set at 197 degrees Fahrenheit. These settings are the highest of any Keurig brewers. Please contact our Customer Care team at 866-950-2326 if you have any other questions.

These things are junk. Brewed 3 cups the first day we had it then clogged up. Coffee is WAY to expensive for these things. Going back to store.

Love that I can brew kcups, vue packs, and carafe pods. But the love ends there. The machine is very loud and the pulsating that is supposed to make the coffee stronger only sprays coffee everywhere. I don't mind that I have to use Keurig licensed products, because I did already. But despite buying the highest brewer with the most options, it would not let me brew 12oz with a kcup. And forget stronger coffee; every cup I brewed came out watery. I got stronger coffee with my older brewer brewing 12 oz with one kcup than brewing 10oz with strong coffee selected with the same brand and flavor kcup in the new brewer. My coffee also only occasionally brewed at the temperature it said it was supposed to brew at. Most of the time my coffee was Luke warm at best. I finally gave up, returned it, and went back to my previous brewer which works great and lets me use all the features it has in the way I want. Overall, the idea is great, and I was excited to get the brewer, but the execution was a failure. Disappointing.
Pros: Easy to use, Brews All Products, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Large Pot
Cons: Long Brew Time, Loud, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, HARD TO CLEAN, Limited Features, Splashes coffee
I am not happy that I cannot use any other manufacturer or coffee providers version of Kcup in my machine ONLY KEURIG BRAND!! That is not right. I would not have purchased this machine if I had known that I would be FORCED to purchase KEURIG ONLY. Seems unprofessional and unethical.
Cons: Complicated Controls, Limited Features, Can't Use Others Kcuppod, Loud

I've had a Keurig for a long time which was why I went with another when my B60 finally stopped working (after many years). I like this new one so far. It's got a few more "bells and whistles" than I'd really prefer but it gets the job done. MY ONE COMPLAINT: there are only two sizes for hot water, 4 and 6 oz. This very annoying as I also drink tea daily and cannot get a 10 oz pour without having to go through the motions twice.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly
Cons: Complicated Controls, Hot Water Options Limited

Not please at all with this model!

I was happy/sad to receive my new Keurig, after my old one, still under warranty died! However, I am not pleased at all with the 2.0 K550, due to smaller cup sizes, having to sit & hold button for hot water. Loved, how I use to be able to place my cup under the machine & simply pushed the button for CUP SIZE desired & I could walk away, now one has to stand & depress button till cup fills fully, not efficient at all when making several cups of tea on occasion! Can no longer use the generic dispenser for regular coffee when I run out of K-cups. Another issue with my NEW machine is that the scan mode/ bar code was not reading my K-cup, aKeurig K-cup, was constantly bringing up an "Oops" message. I finally got so frustrated & annoyed, stopped using it entirely! I gave up & bought a hot pot for $12.99, heated my water & started drinking instant coffee which completely defeats the purpose of purchasing a Keurig for that great perked flavor!! The new stylish design is the only thing I can say I was please about and also the variety of colors you can choose from for your new machine. Bottom line, it shouldn't be about the design of the machine or the variety of colors available but more about the quality of its performance, which is KEURIG's trademark. These KEURIG'S are not cheap, they are looked upon by consumers, as the CADILLAC of coffee makers & revered for years FOR THEIR QUALITY PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY OF THE PRODUCT...
Pros: Like Wallpapers, Stylish, Like The Night Light
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Limited Features, Loud, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Can't program the cup size I use most frequently. Only offers 4 or 6 oz size for hot water, have to run it 2x's for a cup of tea. Won't let me use generic pods, have to be Keurig brand.
Pros: You Can Brew A Carafe
Cons: Brews Slow, Can't Program Cup Size, Only 4 Or 6oz Hot Water, Won't Brew Generic Kcups

Replacment K550 not the same as original

I purchased a K-550 just before XMAS and it died mid Feb. Keurig was quick to replace and they said it would be exactly the same as my original. It is not and I am most displeased. Differences notived so far. 1. Water Heating seems to take longer 2. I have to hold down button for hot water instead of being able to select 4 or 6 oz. This might be okay for sone but it is bot okay with me. 3. I am pretty sure I could select 12 oz when brewing a standard K-Cup on my old unit. Now the maximum is 10oz. If I am told the replacement will function exactly like my original then I expect it to do so. I will be looking for another maker to replace this.
