Nice Step Up From 1.0

I work construction and am the only person in the household who drinks coffee. I decided to upgrade from a 1.0 machine, and bought the K560 because of the large screen and brew size options. Pros: The coffee brews stronger and with more size options than my old unit, especially if you select the 'Strong' option when brewing. The specialty drinks, like the chai latte, brew better too. The touchscreen controls are simple and responsive, even for those with thick fingers. The customizable lighting colors and backgrounds are a nicer addition than you would expect for such a simple feature. Cons: I wish the 'brew hot water' option allowed for more than six ounces at a time; I liked using my old machine for making single large cups of loose leaf tea and could do so in one shot. My old machine also let me set the brew temp; the new one has a single temperature. The power button requires being held down until the 'preheating' symbol appears. One second short of that and it turns back off, even though the machine displays a 'Welcome' message. I have serious reservations about the DRM on the machine to keep non-authorized cups from brewing. We'll see if they release a new version of the 'My-Kcup.' Mixed: It's not a small unit. It feels sturdy, seems built to last, and I don't have to refill the reservoir as often as the old machine, so I think it's a fair trade. The neck does not stick out as far as the older machines, so I make sure the mugs I use are pressed tight. Probably just paranoia on my part. I have not used the carafe yet, but I definitely bought the unit with the intent of taking a day's worth of coffee with me. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.

a little loud but good machine

When I received my machine at first I was disappointed because I could not use some of the k-cups that were not Keurig. However they made good by replacing all the K-cups that were not useable with the machine. So far other than being a little loud I am very happy.

This is my first Keurig so far I really like it. I like the convenience of just popping in a K-cup and within a couple of minutes I have a cup of coffee. I like how I can get a cup of hot water for instant hot chocolate or tea that the Keurig is not just for coffee. I am a bit disappointed that my favorite brand of coffee is not available in a K-cup. A couple of suggestions for future Keurig models would be that the carafe was larger and that the strength control setting include an option for weaker coffee. Some people like myself am not a fan of strong coffee that the Keurig makes. I find myself using more creamer than usual. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.

Hello Everyone... Keurig really made a huge improvement from the last model. The slow brew function really makes a huge difference in the coffee taste. I also really like the hot water feature so you can dispense it for whatever the needs are.... Finally, the UI on the screen is simple and intuitive. No need to read instructions... Just think and move forward... The best part about this model is that it conserves energy and heating elements by a scheduled on and off times... Finally simple and energy thinking even in a coffee maker... Love it.. Go buy it now

I had purchased the previous top line model on closeout as the 2.0 brewers where released. The one I purchased didn't work right out of the box so Keurig sent me a new K550. I wasn't sure about 2.0, but I am very impressed with the quick way in which they resolved the issue. This brewer does everything it's supposed to as it should. I have had Keurig Brewers for years and they have always held up well. About the only thing I miss is being able to brew coffee that doesn't come in K-cups.

Keurig has done it again. I loved my old Keurig brewer and expected the same from the 2.0. I was very surprised to find out that the coffee tastes even better in the 2.0! It is faster and so easy to use. The coffee comes out perfectly every time. Thanks, Keurig, for making my morning coffee even better. It is better with iced beverages also. You have made this coffee drinker very happy!
