I barely got the K550 model this week and loving it. I really like the touch screen display. Easy to use. Love the carafe and would have been really handy 2 weeks ago when I had a little party with friends and family and was offering coffee to everyone and had to do a single serve at a time with my older model keurig. Now I am better equipped with the carafe for the next event. I have noticed that it takes a bit longer to heat up the water than my special edition keurig. Will have to keep testing all its functions to have a better feel.
Pros: Large Pot, Durable, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings
Cons: Long Brew Time

Not what it claims to be

The 2.0 K550 system does not brew a 12 oz kcup size as the website claims. The largest kcup size is 10 oz, which is smaller than the 11.25 oz in my older Keurig system. There is no longer a temperature setting. The carafe is very small and claims a 4-5 cup capacity, but that is only if you are using a very small mug.
Pros: Brews quickly
Cons: Small Pot, Does Not Brew 12oz Kcup, No Temperature Adjustment, Limited Features, Largest Kcup Only 10oz

Have you heard about our K-MUG pods? Visit www.keurig.com and check them out as they will allow you brew cups over 10 oz without having to use a Carafe.

Makes a Good Cup but has some Problems

This is the 2nd time I am attempting to give my review. I wanted the Keurig 2.0 Brewing System primarily because of being able to brew a carafe of coffee, but when I bought the machine I found that is was not a thermo carafe (rather useless carafe instead). So I had to buy the thermo one in addition to the system. I rinse the system often, and clean regularly but have found using the maintenance alerts is not easy. I'm surprised each time I am alerted - I know I just did the job, so tell myself I don't need to do it. Keurig needs a better method. For brewing the size cup we need (16 oz.) we first brew 10 oz, and then 6 oz without removing the K-cup. This takes time so I tried the travel size K-cups and bought the Keurig 16 oz Stainless Steel Travel mug. The mug is terrible (I should return it). My husband burned his tongue using it - not easily usable when traveling. The 2.0 Brewing System does though make a really good cup of coffee so I of course will continue using it, but Keurig should redesign some of the features. P.S. I do also have a problem with the Drip Tray and the Plate - could be a little larger for wider cups and sometimes the plate attaches itself to the bottom of a cup and lifts off the tray if there is even a slight amount of moisture on the bottom of the cup.
Pros: Large Pot, Brews quickly, Easy to clean

Very disappointed in 'new' technology

Have had 3 Keurigs replaced just within their one year expiration dates. The 4th replacement was the 2.0. Having read other reviews, I too am very disappointed in that we lost more than we gained. The only thing I feel gained is the touchscreen which I could live without. The Platinums did have more cup sizes, could use my K-cup, didn't have to hold a button to get hot water only. My biggest gripe is the coffee grounds that I get in my coffee. Like another reviewer, I select 10oz, then barely open/ close lid using same K cup and select another 6 oz. 99% of the time, it creates a huge hole in the top of the cup and I get coffee grounds. I also hate the water reservoir because no matter how I try to fill it or at which angle, it's so narrow that I always manage to spill water everywhere. This was not Keurig's 'better mouse trap'.
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Three of our four family members drink either coffee or tea multiples times a day. The Keurig system saves me money and time I'd spend going to Starbucks during the day for a cup of coffee.
Pros: Easy to clean, Brews quickly, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Limited Features

I use the Keurig everyday. I enjoy the large screen and coffee reservoir, and I opted for the top model so I could have more coffee-size selections. I don't like that the machine limits your use to Keurig-approved KCups, *BUT* I understand the reason behind it. I think the machine is really cool how it can tell what kind of cup is in the brewer (regular, caraffe, specialty drink, or the new KMug) and all of the controls change according to what you put in there (it won't try to brew a single cup from a carafe pack). I also like how quick it is, and you can select the "strong" setting for coffee as well. I don't like how it won't brew a full travel mug from a KCup, but have since learned there are KMug cups that will brew a perfect travel cup sized brew. This review is honest. Thanks Keurig, for the free pods for this review.
Pros: Durable, Smart Machine, Large Pot, Brews quickly, Easy to clean, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Display Is Very Snazzy, Stylish
Cons: Keurig-brand Only Kcups, Loud
