Love our K550 Brewer

We love our Keurig K550 and use it everyday. It is set to go every morning at 7AM and is so easy to use. It brews a perfect cup or carafe every time with little effort on our part. We love the color change option and switch colors often.

I got the 2.0 to replace my K45 when the motor started to go out. The 2.0 brews great like all my Keurigs have however there are some pretty big drawbacks that I've noticed over the last several months. I was hoping by now they would have created a reuable filter for the 2.0, I definitely can't enjoy the coffees I used to due to the limited selection of "Keurig certified" k-cups and lack of a reuseable filter. The 2.0 also takes at least twice as long to preheat as my old K45 (even when that one was well over 2 years old). It is just as loud as my K45 was when it started to go. The hot water feature is very inconsistant and only gives you a couple ounces of hot water at a time and must preheat between ever attempt at hot water (very time consuming). Overall, this new Keurig isn't at all anything special and if it weren't such a hassle to return or exchange I would do so. It just seems a little ridiculous that Keurig wouldn't have fixed these problems after countless complaints.
Cons: Loud, Limited Features, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my brewer, the only drawback is that there is no personal k cup or refillable k cup to use for personal coffee choices. This is a major design flaw or monopoly on this brewer and needs resolution.

A Better Brewer

This is my favorite Keurig brewer to this point. It's sleek and stylish and doesn't look like an eyesore on the kitchen counter. My last brewer broke down after a year. I was hesitant to buy another but gave this model a shot. So far, so good. With my last brewer I would constantly get clogs. This new design doesn't seem to have the same problem. I am hoping this company figures out a way to recycle. I've actually considered going back to the old school Bunn. Thanks.

I am very disappointed in Kurig for trying to limit everyone to only use Kurig packed k cups. Everyone is applying some fix for this mistake but Kurig should step up and offer a permanent fix to this marketing disaster.
