Should have read reviews!!!!!!

Have been a Keurig customer for several years having used a platinum edition brewer. This new unit is a big disappointment in its versatility or lack thereof. Greenmountain Coffee and its new partnership pulled off a grand scheme in the design of this brewer. Talk about eliminating competition. I am out the cost of at least 6 boxes of unusable K-Cup pods as well as 3 boxes of competitive brands including DD. Like other writers, I was offered two boxes of new coffee to compensate for my loss. Had I not thrown out the original outside shipping carton the day the unit arrived, I would return the unit.
Pros: Brews Good Tasting Coffee, Attractive Machine
Cons: Noisy Operation, Poor Customer Care, Limited Flavors

Disappointed

I am disappointed with this purchase since I expected much more from one of Keurig's most expensive models. There are plenty user preferences, except for the 2 most important: Brew Size and Water Temperature. Both of these were on my previous Keurig that cost half the price. Also the handle feels cheap/flimsy. I am a long time customer, but very disappointed overall now.
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Limited Features, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Thank you for your review and feedback. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with your new 2.0 brewer. The Keurig® 2.0 brewing system adjusts the temperature for you based on whether you have inserted a K-Cup, K-Mug, Vue pod or a K-Carafe pod. The factory settings are 192 degrees Fahrenheit (89 degrees Celsius) for K-Cup pods and 197 degrees Fahrenheit (92 degrees Celsius) for K-Mug, Vue, and K-Carafe pods. We have found that these are the optimal brewing temperatures for the K-Cup, K-Mug, Vue and K-Carafe™ pod. We hope this information is helpful.

Returning

I was so excited about this machine I was chomping at the bit for it to be available. Now that I have one, I'm super disappointed and returning my new machine. First, it only takes new k-cups. Even k-cups purchased with the Keurig brand from earlier this year don't work. Neither do the refillable k-cups for the occasional coffee that doesn't come in branded in k-cup packs. I suppose I could have lived with this feature, albeit unhappily, but what I can't live with is the ability to ONLY brew a 10 oz cup right now. No travel mug setting. No 12 oz cup. Just 10 oz. Larger mugs are a "future feature". I'm baffled at what Keurig was thinking. I've finally been disappointed by a Keurig product.

I did not get this for Free like so many

Unlike most of the people who gave glowing reviews to this machine...and coincidently, those are the reviewers who got it for FREE, I paid for my machine and you will get the real scoop. Please read the reviews given by people who PAID for the machine and therefore feel no need to embellish the truth about this machine. The truth is that is is a huge disappointment. You can only use the "new" Keurig cups with this machine. No more generic coffee or using your own coffee. Also, you have to click, click through the touch screen to get the size coffee you want (which turns out is not accurate anyway). It is not at all user friendly. Don't like or want the carafe that came with it. I want my old B60 back. Why, why, why did they waste design money on making COLORED LIGHTS for the water??!! They needed to work on the brewer itself rather than this ridiculous add-on. I've been a loyal user for many years and have recommended and bought them for others...now this is a huge disappointment. Hate it. *This has not been a sponsored post like so many others!
Cons: Long Brew Time, Limited Features, Complicated Controls, Loud

Coffee lover!!!

Just bought this brewer so I could send my old one with my son to college. The problem with this brewer is that you can't use older k-cups in it even though they have the k-cup symbol. You can only use k-cups that have a check in a circle and say for use in all keurig brewers on the outside of the box. The problem for me is that I already have ten boxes of k-cups that don't have that symbol so I can't use any of them! I complained to keurig who said they will only send a coupon for two new boxes. The other problem with this brewer is that you cannot use a reusable cup with it so if you have a brand of coffee you love and doesn't come in the a "recognized" k-cup you can't use this brewer. Another dsappointing feature is the auto-brew only works with the k-carafe. so if you want to wake up to just one freshly brewed cup forget it. This was a feature I was really looking forward to but right now there are just a few k-carafe packs available so even if I was willing to brew a whole carafe they don't have my favorite coffee. In summary I see no improvement over the older models and will have to give my son the new one or throw out all my other k-cups. I loved my first keurig but am extremely disappointed with this new model. Despite all the "new technology" the older one is much more versatile and useful.

Disappointment to the max

Looks like pro comments are being sent by those who were given appliance by influencer. I spent hard earned cash for mine and it worked less than a week. I contacted customer service, and was just advised to refer to FAQ. (Which I had done before contacting them). It is a big disappointment that only Keurig branded K cups can be used. I had ordered through their mail delivery, but occasionally liked to buy local roasts with their reusable cup. After reading the review from Laura C in Omaha, I will probably return this machine for a refund. Given that the previous Platinum brewer lasted barely a year, If customer service had communicated even a modicum of concern I might have tried another one. Goodbye to Keurig and Cafe Express.
Cons: Expensive, Wasteful, Off-putting Cust Service, 6 Oz Limit Hot Water, Lasted One Week, Limited Larger K Cup Flav, Can't Use Current K Cups

Wonderful but disapointing

I've been waiting for the newest model so that I could give my Platinum brewer to replace my mothers older Keurig model. Unfortunately I should have waited and read some reviews before I made my purchase. I literally have over a hundred of K-cups, variety of flavors hot/iced options. Now I find that I can't use any of them.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
Cons: Unable To Use Older K-cup

Daily Chef not working with brewer
on September 15, 2014

I was very disapointed to learn that the 2.0 version will not allow our office to use the Daily Chef cups that you can buy from Sams. I have a Keurig at home and can use this type of cup. In addition, we have some KCup tea packs that will not work as well. Trying to make this coffee maker smarter is actually burning the consumer. I don't know that I would recommend this to anyone. My ordinary Keurig would be a much better fit for consumers that don't want to spend a fortune on the cups for this machine. I bought 2 boxes of the Daily Chef for our office only to find out that they do not work with this machine.I called into the Oops hotline to simply be told that there is nothing that can be done to make this situation right.
Cons: Disatisfied
