Disappointed, lost money on pods!!

I love Keurig in the fact my husband and I can have different kinds of coffee, he loves dark and myself light. We have owned different Keurig machines over the years and even bought my parents one for Christmas a while back. When our latest one died we purchased the 550 cause of the carafe and other features. What we didn't realize is the boxes and boxes of pods we previously purchased, including Green Mountain, would NOT work anymore. They ALL have the "Keurig" label and on the box states it states "works in ALL Keurigs except Vue". When we try and make coffee it tells us "OOPS, Sorry". Very upset with wasting that much money. Now when looking for new pods how do i know which ones work when I'm at the store looking at the boxes?
Pros: Makes Single Cups, Stylish, Easy to use, Large Pot, Multiple Settings
Cons: No 12 Oz Cup Size, Loud, Long Brew Time

I'm a long time dedicated consumer of Keurig. LOVED your product, I actually bought 2 of them for relatives years ago. But unfortunately, as you TRIED to improve by adding the carafe you changed the brew needle on the 2.0 and I have to clean the needles after every 3rd cup. I don't need that aggravation at 5:00 A.M. everyday. I am no longer using it. Please bring back the OLD design. LOOSE THE CARAFE. The reason people bought it was for convenience, not a WHOLE pot. If that was the case I would have kept my old coffee machine. I bought 3 of the 2.0 and all of them had to be cleaned after 3 to 5 cups. I want to return my 2.0 machine back to you and hope that you bring the older model back. So disappointed.. :-(

it's out second Keurig. The first one died after about a year. This one less than a month and it stopped working today.
Cons: It's Stopped Working, Less Than 48 Cups

Nice new machine but it loses a star....

The idea of this machine is perfection: combining kcup and vue in 1 coffeemaker and adding the k-carafe option on top of that. I deducted a star due to the already well-documented DRM issue and the inability to use a my kcup. The machine itself is incredibly easy to setup and use. It is a very cool-looking coffeemaker....sort of a Disney 1950's art deco vision of the future. The kcup results rival the Vue machine and the vue cup results on the 2.0 are superior to the Vue. A few quibbles: I love the timer option for the k-carafe buy why isn't that option available with any other type of cup? Also, why do I have to press and hold the brew button to get hot water? Lastly, give back control of the brewing temperature. I should have the option to brew everything at 197, not just the k-carafe. I really like the new color touch screen (much larger and simpler than the Vue V700) and, unlike the Vue, it's very simple to access the setup menu. I also like the 80oz water reservoir. The machine is somewhat quieter than the Vue and much quieter than my Platinum kcup machine in the office. So far, the k-carafe results have been somewhat less than spectacular. This is partly due to the coffee (folgers...MEH) and the 3-4 cup setting I used. Donut shop was done on 2-3 cups and was somewhat better. I brewed one of the k-carafe cups on the #2 setting (14 oz) and it was a perfect travel mug. I don't get all the bad reviews. Do your research before purchasing and there will be no surprises when you open the box.

I have had a Keurig for over 4 years and loved the old machine. This 2.0 is not smart. You can't use a K Cup to brew your own tea or coffee. You can't use ANY of your old K Cups. Only new K cups work. To make hot water, you are limited to 6 oz. You can't make a pitcher of hot water. None of the parts are dishwasher safe making this more work than it's worth. Sad innovation. It will go back.

Hi Keurig, Just to let you know that I'm very disappointed. I love my old Keruig, it broke I followed all the fixes, nothing worked. I called Keurig and they sent me a Keurig 2.0. Well, I'm so disappointed, no 12oz brewing option, I have to throw old Keurig K-cups away if they do not comply with the scanning system. Just to let you know how important this is, I want you to know that I never have written a review before, on anything! My husband won't even use it because he used to grind his own and use it with the old Keurig. I used the K-cups and he ground his own, we were a happy family. Now, were not so happy my husband feels left out! Please, listen to your customers (stakeholders) we want our old functionality back! We will be loyal, however you have to meet us half way.

Very disappointing

Purchased the 2.0 only 6 days ago. At first I wasn't impressed with the coffee made for the carafe...it got cold within half hour...then this morning the whole machine stopped working. Keurig needs to up their quality of the machines to get me to buy another product from them...I've purchased 2 k-cup machines and 2 Rivo's...call me crazy!

Cons: Doesn't Work

love this brewer even with its quirks

This is my second keurig that i have owned myself. I used the first one for 4 years before this came out with no problems. I decided to upgrade because I liked the idea of the carafe. At first the brewer worked like it was supposed to. Then about a week in, it wouldn't brew the full amount it was supposed to in both the single serve setting as well as the carafe which obviously got frustrating. I called keurig and since it was so new they replaced mine with a new one no hassle. This time, the brewer acted the same way. I called customer service back and they forwarded me to corporate where I was told that because I have such a hefty water filtration system along with a water softener, it was toying with the brewer. The brewer has advanced technology so it wasn't detecting as much water as it was consuming because it was so pure. Her suggestion was to descale it, purchase regular spring water at the grocery store and see if that helped. It did. The brewer works flawlessly since I've been adding spring water to it. That could be seen as a nuisance by some people but I'm too much a coffee and keurig lover to care. I would highly recommend this product because it fits every need and the customer service is beyond wonderful to deal with. Keurig is a trusted and popular brand in my entire family. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for my review.
