Why be exclusive?

I was extremely excited to get this from Influenster to try out! Really this seemed like the dream campaign to be apart of. I anxiously awaited it to hit my doorstep for days. When it finally arrived I packed up my old Keurig and happily replaced it with the 2.0 I received. I set it up and really - the machine is beautiful. Really sleek and nice shiny greys. It really looks nice sitting on the counter - matches great with stainless steel appliances. Really high tech and nice looking. It was very easy to set up and use (outside of the water filer - I needed the boyfriend's strength to separate the two pieces in the filter) Filling up the water was a messy process since the container does not remove like my previous machine. I was forced to fill up cup after cup and load the water that way....and it was a bit splashy/messy. I was pleased to also receive a sample pack of KCups to use. I brewed one right away and tried out the new touch screen. Very simple and easy to use touch screen. I was a tad disappointed by the sizes available - only 8 and 12 ounces? I do 16 ounces a lot with my old machine. Overall - great coffee quality - nothing different there. My main gripe? That now you can ONLY use KCups that have been specially formatted for Keurig. I have a stock pile of KCups - and I wasn't about to just let those goes to waste and spend a ton of money on brand new KCups. I don't want to pidgeon hold myself into only buying one brand of KCups. So overall I finished all of the sample pack and then started using my old Keurig system again. Overall I really loved the machine - everything about it was great - but I just can't foresee myself using it again until I use up my stock pile of already bought KCups. Maybe when that is depleted I will make a point of buying the new KCups.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Pleasing Aroma, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Balanced Acidity, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Roast
Cons: Exclusivity, Why Only Keurig Kcups

This Machine took a step down from my K75. For a new design, it should have been more thought over. Like my own coffee beans and ground fresh. Paid way to much for the insert. then can only make 10oz, and after a long time trying to put the insert back to get 4 more oz. Now the K75 is very expensive, if even possible to find any where. The Company needs to re- design the K2.
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Limited Features, Loud

DON'T BUY THE 2.0 SYSTEM!

This 2.0 system stinks. Our old Keurig burned out so we went to buy a new one. The new 2.0 won't allow me to use my own coffee in an adapter cup. If you look at the price per pound of the prepackaged k-cups you're paying between 55.00 to almost 80.00 per pound to drink coffee!!!!! Who do they think they're kidding?!!
Pros: None What So Ever

Hi, we heard you and we'd like to offer you some feedback. We do not endorse using any product in or with our brewers other than those that carry the Keurig or Keurig Brewed logos. If it’s not a Keurig product, you should look to see if it has the Keurig Brewed seal. Keurig Brewed is the only mark of genuine Keurig quality. It’s our seal of approval that assures the quality, taste and safety of every cup. We now offer a diverse portfolio of nearly 400 different beverages from 60 brands, giving consumers lots of choices – no matter their taste preferences or their budget. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system.

The new keurig 2.0 is NOT worth your time and money IF: you want to brew more than a 10oz cup of coffee ( travel mugs take 12 to 14 oz); IF you have a tall travel mug (several of mine fit under the old keurig, but weirdly, not under the new one...and yes, I did remove the drip tray).....IF you liked to occasionally use your "My K-cup reusable filter" for some fresh ground coffee you had on hand - the new Keurig won't let you do that!!!! Sorry, environmentally friendly folks, you are out of luck....IF you ever bought k-cups that were not produced by Keurig (many major grocery store chains were offering up decent k-cups at reduced cost - some even used less plastic, if you care, but those cannot function in the NEW keurig). Looks like they are trying hard to create a monopoly on the k-cups, at increased cost to users, while decreasing our ability to have options. The last Keurig we had up and died. Was hoping the 2.0 would be a better, more durable machine, but first impressions are decidedly not promising. Looks like the water reservoir is actually less robust, and the internal workings seem equally plastic as the old one. The touch screen - with its limited "wallpaper" options is just gimmicky. Not happy.

Disappointed

I replaced the b79 keurig brewer with this model 2.0 k550. Unfortunately within a week the brewer stopped working. It does not dispense fluid. Other issues include: the Green Mountain Coffee decaf k cups do not work - machine says cup size is wrong size. The few cups that I made produced a steady drip after the brewing process. I plan to return the brewer.

Older K Cups Not Useable & Reusable ones

Comments about Keurig 2.0 K550 Brewing System: Returning unit, will keep my old Keurig. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING. IT ONLY USES NEW k CUPS. Why would Keurig do such a terrible thing.. It will not work with orginal K cups or reusable ones. Does not specifically state this in description. Now that there are so many varieties of K cup coffees available since we had our first Keurig in 2009 that was what was so nice. Very, very disappointed.

Hi, Let us help you out! In order for Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology to deliver the perfect cup or carafe every time, it must read the lid and recognize the K-Cup or K-Carafe pack that has been inserted. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. We offer a diverse portfolio of nearly 400 different beverages from 60 brands, giving consumers lots of choices – no matter their taste preferences or their budget. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system! I just bought the new 2.0 however certain k-cups are not compatible with this "new" coffee maker that has "amazing keurig technology" I LOVE Snapple and Diet Peach Ice Tea is my favorite but sadly I don't get to enjoy that. Keurig needs to get this business in order, if this machine can only use keurig k-cups then it should not reject keurig k-cups! I am seriously thinking of returning the product, if one day after I opened it I am having problems I don't look forward to the future with this company or there products.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
Cons: Doesnt Work, Unpleasant Aftertaste, Unpleasant Flavor
