I like my old one better

Had a platinum brewer that stopped pumping water after two years. Replaced this brewer with a new 2.0 K550 brewer. I have several issues with this new brewer. You can only use Keurig branded K-cups in this new brewer. I have not found a way to set my brew temperature like I could on my platinum. I mostly use a travel mug which causes several more issues with this new one. First, on my platinum I could set a default brew size, which does not seem to be an option now. Secondly, my platinum by the manual brewed a 11.5oz cup but to get the same amount on the K550 I have to brew a 10oz(largest currently for a cup) and a 4oz. The K550 is not a better brewer than the platinum. Had I know about the keurig only K-cup restriction I would have never purchased this one.
Pros: Pleasant To Look At, Customizable Colors
Cons: No 12oz At This Time, Only Keurig Brand Cups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No competition - No Price Controls

I would buy TWO of these in a heartbeat but for one thing. Once these are widely distributed, the owner/user is at the mercy of Keurig to be fair with their pricing. Competition keeps pricing fair, but if you can't buy a competitor's brand, then Keurig can raise their prices and you really can't go anywhere else. Keurig says that they want to control the quality. But they also control the price. I say Let Me chose the quality I want. Another K-Cup provider may have BETTER quality.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
Cons: Proprietary K-cups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had bought the Vue just a year and a half ago - that was the latest greatest machine from Keurig. Now the Vue can only be purchased in the commercial version and Vue cups are few and far between to even find. I purchased the 2.0 to replace my Vue and immediately packed it back up and returned it after only two weeks. You can't use ANY older kcups with this machine and you can't use the reusable kcup to brew your own blend. It's gimmicky and is super proprietary. I'm still using my Vue but will likely never purchase another Keurig machine. Major fail.
Pros: It Makes Coffee
Cons: The Entire Unit, Everything else

This new Keurig isn't worth the money. You can only brew Genuine Keurig cups. This leaves out my Biggby. I will keep my other Keurig brewers that I can brew anything I want in them. Boooooo!!!!!

Bring back the Platinum!!!

Very dissatisfied compared to previous Keurig. Doesn't work well even with cups marked with the Keurig "approval". Inability to change temp setting, 10 oz. brew actually brews 8 oz. Top punch is large and causes coffee grounds to leave the cup. Taller mugs, cups won't fit without removing the drip tray.
Cons: Too Small With Drip Tray, No Temp Control, Brew Size Inaccurate, Complicated Controls, Limited Features, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DO NOT BUY

EXTREMELY disappointed in Keurig. For two everyday coffee drinkers, you would think this would be a great Christmas gift, right? WRONG. What a scam. Initially we were drawn to the feature of brewing a larger pot with the carafe, which by the way does NOT stay warm. Also, in the midst of our morning routine we discovered that you CANNOT brew ALL k-cup packs or use a filter to brew your own grounds. WHO CREATES A COFFEE MAKER LIKE THIS??? Had we not already used the machine and thrown away the box this item would be returned immediately. Although we have owned and LOVED our Keurig machines in the past, this will be the very last Keurig purchase for our family. Keurig, next time you develop a "new" product, keep the consumer in mind, rather than your revenue gains via special k-cup packs. Do not buy. I repeat, DO NOT BUY.
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Limited Features

Disappointing

Other than having a new look, this machine does not add anything to the coffee that my Cuisinart, Breville, or other Keurig models can provide. In fact, it greatly reduces the types and brands of coffee that I can brew, including K-cups purchased from Keurig.com. (They sold me K-cups that do not have the necessary "coding" in the cup's label to work in this machine.) The greatest asset to owning a Keurig single cup brewer was that I could choose the coffee that I want to drink. Keurig has removed this wonderful feature with the new 2.0 system. The "special brew technology" in this machine has not added any benefit to the coffee, it has only allowed Keurig to take control of what coffees can be brewed in the machine that I bought.

Will not work with K cups that have the Keurig logo but are older than the new system cups. We are returning this pot because it will not use K cups that we already have even though they have the Keurig label.
Cons: Bad Pot
