I bought my Keurig 2.0 system and was very disappointed, let me explain. I was excited about all my friend's K-cup machines which they have had for years and especially exciting was the different selection of coffee favorites available for single brewing. I bought the 2.0 brew system and soon learned that the Keurig 2.0 uses a proprietary system that only allows it to use the Keurig 2.0 K-cups, it won't even use the older Keurig K-cup before 2.0 system or your self filling K-cups or any other brands. I packed the machine up and took right back where I bought it and I was told that most of the Keurig 2.0 brewers that they are sell are coming right back to them within a few days. When Keurig wises up and stop bullying customers around I'll be back, unless I buy another companies brewer before then.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Limited Features
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointing. Does not have features of older models. Cannot use without a KCup/Carafe. Advertised 9 cup sizes, I have found 4. Can onoy get 6 ounces of hot water and it requires holding the button the whole time. Slower than older models. Takes some time to brew.
Pros: Quality Look And Feel
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, Hot Water Limited To 6oz
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

horrible worst keurig yet. I ordered this to upgrade to find out you can only use their new approved k cups so my old ones are useless. on top of that it only goes up to 10oz which my old one went up to 12oz and there is no temperature setting. also you can only brew 6oz of hot water no more no less. horrible product do not buy

IF you like only their approved coffees and never want to use your own coffee, this machine is fine. There are currently no refillable cups available, and none planned. I'm going to return it. This is a very poor policy.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: No Refillables Planned, Limited Coffee, No Refillable Cups Now
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband surprised me with the 550 for my birthday and new job. One thing I love to do is drink tea at night. When I found out that I had to PUSH and HOLD the water button the entire time waiting on hot water to come out. Not only it gives me about 2-4 ounces of water at a time it sometimes have to reheat and start all over causing me to be late or buy coffee on the way to work. My warranty is up and I'm stuck with this machine wishing I could get an updated maker that I'd only have to push a button once to add hot water.
Pros: Hold Up To 10oz Of Coffe, Style, Color Changing
Cons: Have To Reheat In Micro, Too Big, Not hot enough
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have to start with what was not so great. I got my brewer and right out of the box it did not work right. Brewing a carafe you would get only 10 ounces if that. I called Keurig and they sent me a new unit right away. I got the new unit and right out of the box the exact same problems. This time when called Keurig got me in touch with some technical person. They had me try bottled water. They wanted me to do several brew cycles with just hot water no K cup in the machine. You get 6 ounces of water each time you run a cycle for just hot water. I ran 30 ounces through the brewer to purge any previous water out of the unit. I tried to brew a carafe of coffee. It did it perfectly. The lady told me that some K cups have a filter media in them that are having a reaction to sodium in the water. I wasn't sold on this just yet. I hadn't sent the cup with the needles back to Keurig yet. So I got the first brewer and ran 30 ounces of plain well water through it. Then I brewed a carafe and it did it perfectly. I still wasn't ready to say problem solved. I brewed a carafe the next morning in each brewer. One with bottled water, the other with plain un-softened well water. Once again both brewers worked perfectly. So the trace amounts of salt from my water softener was causing the filter media in some K cups to react and swell shut. Now it is 3 weeks later and the brewer has been working exactly as it should. Keurig needs to get involved with who is making the K cups using the filter media that reacts to sodium. Keurig needs to get them to switch to a filter media that does not have an adverse reaction to softened water. And after having my brewer for 3 weeks now without a single problem I like the Keurig 2.0 K550 brewer a lot.
Pros: Brews Things Very Well, Brews quickly, Large Pot, Brews Silgle K Cups, Multiple Settings, Brews A Caraffe, Easy to use
