This 2.0 is over designed. It remembers what color lights you want but not what oz. cup you want. You have to push , no I don't want hot water, what size you want and if you want it strong. Will not brew 12oz. Next cup the same thing all over. This is supposed to be the improved model! Give me my Cuisinart back! This is not acceptable! The engineers are "Book Smart and Sidewalk STUPID"! New instructions should be select cup size and brew the first time. After that just press brew. Who cares what color light it has?
Pros: None, Stylish
Cons: Complicated Controls, Less Features That Oldone
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi David the New Keurig Hatter , Default settings on the brew is dependent on the beverage set by the beverage vendor to get the most taste out of your coffee. You can brew 12oz-16oz cup using Vue packs

I am very pleased with my new Keurig 2.0 brewer. I have been a long like Keurig Vue user because I like the stronger coffee it brews, however, not all brands make V-cups and I missed out on all of the varieties made in K-cups. Now with Keurig 2.0, I can brew K-cups, V-cups, and brew a pot of coffee when needed. I like that the brewer recognizes what type of cup is being used and adjusts settings accordingly. So far, every brand I want to use has been compatible with the brewer. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Brews quickly, Large Pot, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Coffee Brands Limitation, Limited Selection

I like that this brewer is easy to use and you have cup size choices. I like a large cup of coffee so I choose the biggest cup size. The coffee varieties are vast, so if you like stronger coffee like me, you can choose the Dark Magic or one of the Italian coffees and it brews up perfectly!
Pros: Large Pot, Brews quickly, Multiple Settings
Cons: Limited Features

I love my new Keurig, Ive had a Keurig in my home for the past 4 1/2 years..there's no other coffee system I'd rather use since buying first one. When I seen these new brewers I decided to spoil myself an get the best model an I truly love it! I find myself playing around with the lighting for holidays an events, I love that I can brew a large pot too! My husband enjoys multiple cups while I like just my single cup an that use to be his only complaint with the Keurig so now he's 100% happy! I also love the touch screen feature, very sleek an sophisticated. It looks great in my kitchen! Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Easy to clean, Large Pot, Durable, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Brews quickly, Easy to use

The convenience & flavor is great! Stainless steel carafe should be included for price & leave out the plastic carafe. Splashing needs to be eliminated. Should have larger cup sizes! Keurig does have great customer service!
Pros: Easy to clean, Brews quickly, We Love Our Keurig, Easy to use, Durable, Good Coffee
Cons: Stainless Steel Carafe, Limited Features, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Splashes Too Much, Should Be Included, Needs At Least 12 Or 16oz
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not really an upgrade

I upgraded to the 2.0 from a Keurig Platinum. At first I was excited for the potential to brew full pots of coffee, but even this feature is limited with only 2-3 cups capacity. The Platinum allowed me to brew large enough pours to fill my travel mug, but the 2.0 sadly has smaller brew options (yes, you can still double brew if needed, but it was nice to not have the extra step). The 2.0's touchscreen controls are nice, but the large "brew" button on the display actually does nothing, rather one needs to depress the brew button on the machine itself. The 2.0 requires you to use Keurig approved K-cups limiting the choice in coffee that I could use, and when I switched brewers many of the cups I had no longer worked. Lastly, maintenance on the 2.0 is not complicated, but if you leave the k-cup in the dispenser long after brewing the water nozzle gets clogged up and you can't brew. After talking to customer support they offered sticking a toothpick in the nozzle to clear it of impacted grounds as advice, again, not that big of a deal, but the Platinum didn't have these issues. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Cons: Limited Features, HARD TO CLEAN, Small Pot

Hi greg, You can brew up to 30 oz with the k550, in fact, you will be able to brew different sizes depending on the packs that you insert:
K-Cup: 4 oz. – 10 oz.
Vue: 12 oz. – 16 oz.
K-Carafe: 22 oz. – 30 oz.
Here are some tips on how to get a bigger brew:
Brew a 4-cup carafe using new K-Carafe packs and pour into two 14 oz. travel mugs. The My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology because the brewer has no way of determining what beverage is being used or how much coffee is being added, and therefore cannot adjust to factors such as brew strength and amount of water, which could represent a safety concern. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. To ease the transition to 2.0, please call our Customer Care team at 866-901-2739.
