I love my Keurig
on January 3, 2016

I brew coffee multiple times during the day. This is my first Kuerig, although friends and relatives own one and I have been impressed with speed and convenience. I like having single serve for fresh cup of coffee each and everytime. I have owned this machine for 3 weeks. My only complaint is that the night light timing feature on this model does not work. You are suppose to be able to set it to turn on and off at a set time. I cannot get it to work. The light remains on all the time. I wish it would have come with the stainless carafe. I have just like the appearance better, but I have used the supplied plastic one and it keeps coffee warm enough to consume the 4 cups.
Pros: Fast Brewing Variety
Cons: Plastic Carafe
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waste Of Money

Very disappointed. Clock does not stay set, Hot Water Brew Feature only brews about 2 seconds, Coffee is room temp at best when fresh. 6Oz, 8Oz, 10Oz all brew the same cup of coffee which is never a full cup. The only good thing about this was it looked good on my counter for about 2 weeks.
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Doesnt Keep Time, Long Brew Time, Never Brews A Full Cup, Hot Water Brew Dont Work, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Loud, HARD TO CLEAN

Already need to replace it

My husband bought this for me in Oct 2014 for my birthday and we were in the process of moving so I didn't really get started using the machine until Jan 2015, so barely a years use out of it. The option for hot water ( no coffee ) has completely stopped working. For the past month or so I would have to do it about 6-7 times to obtain the full 6oz of hot water ( which really wasn't very hot ) and now it won't do anything. The brewer is slow at dispensing the coffee, and we even descale the unit monthly ( sometimes twice a month ) and the solution for the descaling isn't cheap either! The carafe doe not keep coffee warm at all and the pot is rather small. You may at best get 3 cups out of it, but you better drink them quick as it will get cold quick. Also not a lot of options for the larger pods either The time on the brewer is always speeding up, it gains a minute about every couple of days. Which is so frustrating. The amount of money that was spend on this brewer, I really thought that this would be a machine that I could use long term, but after only around 13-14 months of use ( not everyday, maybe 6-7 cups of actual coffee a week ) I will need to replace it. I gave up my $300 Bunn coffee maker and now I feel that I may just go back to it! It never let me down and I can just by flavored creamer and still come out cheaper in the long run.
Pros: Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Water Doesn't Dispense, Time Doesn't Keep, HARD TO CLEAN, Long Brew Time, Loud, Slow, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

This one shows Kuerig is greedy.

I was SO disappointed to find that many of the K-cups I have on hand cannot be used in this machine. They designed it to reject all brands except Kuerig. I don't know if this is true for all the new Kuerigs. There are plenty of other brands of K-cups that are very good. It seems the company is greedy, if they refuse to let it's customers choose other brands. I wish I had not bought this one.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Durable, Easy to use, Easy to clean
Cons: Can't Use Other Brands, Complicated Controls, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Keurig Brewer I have ever bought!

I have owned 3 Keurig Brewers. The best one was the platinum. There are many issues with this Brewer: 1. About 80% of the cups I brew have coffee grounds in my cup! Yuck! I have never had this issue with other Keurig Brewers. 2. Coffee is only warm, not hot! 3. Need to de-scale a lot and the solution is expensive. I have to de-scale monthly and clean/wash the Brewer every day. I make a cup of coffee, then run the hot water to get coffee grounds out for each cup I make and I still end up with grounds in my coffee. I have cleaned the needles too. 4. The clock keeps time fast no matter how many times I re-set it. But that's the least of my worries. I just want a hot cup of coffee without having to clean it so much. 5. Other issues: only brews up to 10 oz, cannot adjust temperature, noisy, carafe is small and not insulated, only newer kcups work in it... Keurig, please respond with a solution for my issues!
Pros: Adjustable Color Display, Large reservoir
Cons: Clock Fast, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Limited Features, HARD TO CLEAN, Long Brew Time, Coffee Grounds In Cup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hot Water troubles....

I'm not sure if it's a product defect but does anyone else have trouble with dispensing hot water from their unit??? On the older units you push the button and the water heats up and dispenses. On my Keurig® 2.0 K550 Brewer unit, I have to hold the dispense button down the entire time in order for it to dispense. If I let go, it stops dispensing. NOT a happy camper about this.
Cons: Complicated Controls

So Disappointed
on September 23, 2014

I purchased the top of the line 2.0 brewer. I had a VUE, and could set it to fill my coffee mugs perfectly. Unfortunately, the VUE, with their hard-to-find brewing cups became problematic. I simply don't want to HAVE to ALWAYS order my coffee ONLINE. So...with a perfectly working Vue brewer, I decided to buy the new 2.0. I have been SO disappointed in the limited brew size...I have to run the 2.0 first on 8oz then again on 4oz in order to fill an average coffee mug. Not even travel size (which the Vue could also do...) but just an ordinary mug. Then I found that it will use ONLY Kuerig K-cups. But wait...I HAVE Kuerig K-cups that I BOUGHT from Kuerig...Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee WITH the Kuerig logo...and this brewer will not work. I find it unbelievable that in Kuerig's effort to limit use of their machines to their coffee only they are willing to give up the entire market of people who might prefer to buy k-cups from places like Sam's Club. Or people who choose to fill their own K-cups. DO NOT buy this brewer unless you want to be held hostage to the idea of Kuerig being your ONLY coffee source. I think the design of the 2.0 will plummet Kuerig to the bottom of the heap in the world of single cup brewers because of this. There are simply too many better choices out there now.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Limited Size Brew, Restricted K-cups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HUGE Step Backwards for Customers
on September 25, 2014

The K-550 2.0 System has taken a HUGE step backwards from a customer perspective unless the ONLY thing you are interested in doing, and doing a LOT of, is brewing 4-cup carafes. Here are the horrible changes as compared to the K-75: 1) The K-550 only has single cup dispensing sizes up to 10 oz where the K-75 goes up to 12 oz; 2) The K-550 does not allow for use of the "My K-Cup" insert which allows a person to put in their own coffee rather than a K-Cup; 3) Although the K-550 allows for making a carafe of coffee of 30oz, the K-550 only allows you to dispense 6oz MAX of hot water; 4) If you have purchased K-Cups with the Keurig label that do not have the new, built-in the lid brewing technology - sorry - they don't work in the new K-550. You'll get a message saying you have to insert a K-Cup with the Keurig label - when, in fact, that's what you just did. I purchased the K-550 today and have already ordered the K-75 to replace it. I'll be taking the K-550 back tomorrow - a ridiculous step backwards in customer options that can only be for Keurigs desire to force users to purchase more Keurig-Only K-Cups. Very sad.
Cons: Hot Water Limited, My k-cup doesn't work, Old Keurig Kcs Don't Work, Cup Size Limit 10oz
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
