The 2 of us use our K550 brewer every day & multiple times during the day/evening. We've had it since Aug 2015 (this is now Oct 2015) when we had to replace our old Keurig. We think the K550 doesn't brew as hot as our old Keurig. Another "con" is that one can't use just any brand K-Cup, must be Keurig-associated. We also just purchased a mini-brewer to take with us to our FL rental.
Pros: Durable, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Large Pot, Stylish
Cons: Wish It Brewed Hotter, Can Use Only Keurig K-cup

We just received the K550 after my husband decided to take our K70 to the office. This is our third unit after 7 years and love our Keurig. We find the K550 to be louder and not allowable to make a 12oz size. I also miss the "drip plate" when using travel mugs that the K70 had and a "set size" for your everyday coffee.

Cons: Loud, Missing Tray

Disappointing Product

I can't remember when I purchased my first K550 but I do know that it has already been replaced twice. The machine requires daily cleaning with a plunger type device sent by Keurig as a "band aide" to fix a flawed product design. Also, was told during one of many conversations with customer service that I should shake the K-cup before use and press it into the mechanism so the bottom of the cup is punctured before closing the top. Tried all of these suggestions and still have the same results - a coffee machine that does not brew consistently and requires continuous maintenance to get a cup of coffee. i lost count of the wasted K-cups and money due to the malfunction of this machine. Keurig customer service has been ineffective in service recovery with a dissatisfied customer.
Pros: Easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

POOR CONSTRUCTION - HORRIBLE PRODUCT

upon receipt of this product, while pulling out of box, I noticed how cheaply it was made. Nonetheless, i was excited to receive my new coffee maker. The digital screen, which is the only way you can use this, is almost completely unresponsive. The Machine is LOUD. The parts are cheap. May be one of the worst products ever purchased. Had i not been a Keurig customer, I would never ever again purchase a Keurig. However, I have been a customer for a long time and am willing to give a different brewer a chance. Bring back the B70.

Upgraded to the K550 when my over 2 year old previous Keurig died. I like the new one just fine, but I really do miss being able to do a set size since I always brew 10 ounces instead of the preset 8 ounces. (and I wish I could still brew 10 ounces!) It does take a small amount of time longer than my older Keurig, but it is still infinitely faster than making a cup with a French Press or a pour-over. And I really like the ability to make a single cup of coffee instead of a whole pot. Although I would like it better if the coffee was a little hotter. Settings are easier to do on this unit than my old one. Especially setting the correct time after the electricity goes out, which seems to happen frequently at my house. I'm not sure why I am seeing so many bad reviews. After two months of just about daily use mine is working just fine. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review. I really like that Keurig offers some free coffee for an honest review. I also liked the support I got from Customer Service when my old unit died. They tried really hard to get it to work again, instead of just saying I needed to buy a new one.

Waste of money

This brewer will only last 1 year. Then the touch screen becomes a nightmare and we either spend 15 minutes trying different methods to get it to work or just bail and go to Dunkin Donuts. If you can't turn the brewer on or off, then what is the point. We are tossing it and going with a different brand.

My wife had the K-machine, and I had the V-Machine (I use the V-2 Travel mug pods). I was glad to see that my V-2's were compatible with the 2.0. We now have one machine that makes her K-cup and my V-2 travel mugs. Although the machine does make a mess on the counter while brewing. We put a kitchen towel down in front of it while brewing. Hopefully the next model will have a better steady even drip than this one. The carafe is great when we have family or friends over, makes you not miss your old 10 cup coffee pot. The 2.0 is a great machine and glad we purchased it.
Pros: Works With Vue 2's, Easy to use, Durable, Multiple Settings, Large Pot, Stylish
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Favorite Control Setting, Splashes When Brewing
