Good for a few cups - then breaks

Had for 2 months, then when power was turned on, it immediately starts spewing water. Replaced by Keurig. After 2 months, the exact same problem. Replaced again by Keurig. Straight out of the box, it makes a bringing noise like gears are self destructing. The manufacturing quality is very poor for this device. Also, the carafe that comes with it is plastic and leaves an ugly plastic taste in the coffee. Be prepared to pay extra for the stainless steel carafe that should have come with the machine. I gave this a one star rating because there is no zero star rating available. I would not buy this product again.

Cons: Prone to failure, Loud

My old brewer could be set to a favorite mug size. This one doesn't seem to have that and must be selected each time. Perhaps a future feature? (But how will my brewer be updated?) Also, my brewer quit pumping water after one week. I'm getting a free replacement, of course. But it's unsettling.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Large Pot, Nicer Looking Than Earlie, Brews quickly, Easy to use
Cons: No Favorite Cup Size

Getting a Coffee Brewer that Works!

I bought this coffee/tea brewer for our company, and even though I thought it was expensive (compared to the smaller Keurig I have at home), I have received nothing but, 'Good job getting this!' from all of the coffee/tea drinkers in the company. As a matter of fact, it was this machine that prompted us to get a $200 water purifying system for our break room, which the non-coffee/tea drinker liked for their ice-water and other drinks. Thanks Keurig for the free packs for this review.

Good, but could be better

I really like the Keurig brewers, I've had three now. However, I am not as big of a fan of the 2.0 as I was my platinum. It just doesn't have a large enough brew size, so I have to brew an 8 ounce and 6 ounce cup to get the size I want. I shouldn't have to buy a large pod (which doesn't exist) to get this option. The carafe is decent, but it's really only two large cups of coffee so it isn't worth the extra expense. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

I use this pot everyday. Always first thing when we wake up, and often throughout the day for coffee and/or tea. It brews quickly, and I love the lighting. I just wish I could have used the coffee kcups I already had from my other favorite coffees. Those I had to give away, and I love that brand too. So thanks Keurig for the free packs for this review!

Sippy Sippy Made Easy!

When my beloved Vue bit the dust I was sad. I loved the Vue (my 1st Keurig) & was a tiny bit worried about its replacement (I was still under warranty) because the Vue was phased out (rather quickly I might add) from the Keurig Familia. The Keurig Rep told me I would be getting the 2.0 550 & I was pleased (after a quick check on Google) with this replacement. I was under the impression my Vue cups would be accepted in this new 2.0 550, but nope they were not. I had about 30 of them left. Keurig sent me a coupon for a free box of 24 k cups to ease my pain. I had some seriously great Vue cup flavors. The machine itself is attractive. I love how modern & high tech it looks. I love the silver color too. Its rather easy to use & I got the hang of the settings quickly. It is a serious bummer that the Vue & other K cups are excluded from the 2.o, but it is what it is. The one or two differences I noticed was that the Vue felt sturdier to me. When I would replace the water tank it actually snapped into the holes, with the 2.0 it just kinda sits there. Theres no real stability. The same with the drip tray your mug sits on. With the Vue it snapped in & the 2.0 it just kinda sits there. I liked the feeling that the tank & tray were secure. You never know whats going to come along & one good bump & the 80 oz water tank is on the floor/counter making a heckuva mess. Besides the cup exclusivity & the water tank/tray security thing, I am loving my 2.0 550. I was excited to try the carafe for the 1st time a few days ago. I brewed a carafe of French V & it brewed hot & quick. No spills or messes. The carafe itself poured out about 2 1/2 normal for todays size cups (12 oz & above) Had we used 6 or 8 oz we would have easily doubled that initial amount. The carafe kept the coffee quite warm (not piping hot) after an hour in the carafe. The other difference between the Vue & 550 was the ability to pick my water temp & cup size. For any style drink. You can pick cup size on the 550 but choices are limited, unless you're making a specialty drink. On the Vue I was able to pick 16oz size on ANY drink. I loved that for my travel mugs using the travel mug pods. These few small differences are not enough to put me off of this new brewer model. I am getting used to the differences rapidly & the small menu changes are becoming less and less noticeable daily. Basically I am pleased with my 2.0 & think Keurig did a good job overall with this model. Keurig fans will be happy with it & the carafe option is great to have. I will be picking up the brew over ice carafe for the summer when I drink a ton of iced coffee & iced tea. Considering their espresso/cappuccino maker next. **Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review!**
