I use it daily. It is a little noisy but being a first time Keurig owner this may be normal? The touch display is simple and easy to use.
Pros: Easy to use, Brews quickly
Cons: Loud

I brew the small pot every morning and it is just right. I did purchase the insulated pot which helps the coffee stay hot....it should just come with this pot. Also use every afternoon for a fun coffee drink. Coffee has never been so fun and the kids can use it for hot cocoa. Large water reservoir is great so the whole family can brew a drink and a small pot before refill is needed.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, HARD TO CLEAN
I would recommend this to a friend!

The commercial Keurig pot has more features and if 2.0 system and if Keurig made one pot with all features to include an adapter to use for single cups and café that would be the perfect Keurig pot
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Large Pot, Brews quickly
Cons: Cafe Plasic Not Metal, No Adapter For Own Coffee, HARD TO CLEAN
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was a little nervous about purchasing due to some reviews I read, but there is a work around for the biggest complaint I saw regarding use of different K-cups. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. I use it at least once a day for coffee and often twice a day for iced tea or hot chocolate. It was a nice upgrade from my Keurig personal brewer. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I wish the hot water option was automatic with options for 8, 10 oz, etc. Also, I would love an option for 12 oz, however I understand that may jeopardize the perfect brew. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, Stylish, Brews quickly, Easy to clean
Cons: Loud

Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review. I will not dwell on the DRM issue. You know the deal going into it and there are ways around it. I will compare the 550 to the Cuisinart Keurig 1.0 machine. The features of that machine spoiled me, but the 550 is, for the most part, a good replacement. I miss being able to change the amount of hot water dispensed accurately. I could set it for 4 oz. and get 4 oz. Now you must press and hold the button to dispense hot water. After you take your finger off the button, water will continue to be dispensed. Eventually you will learn the timing, but this was a significant step backwards for those who use their machine for instant oatmeal, tea, etc. The 2.0 is louder than the old machines. It's not going to wake the neighborhood, or anyone in the house for that matter, but it is louder. The handle used to open the chamber for the K-Cup is plastic. On my Cuisinart it was metal. It feels much less sturdy, and cheap. This probably won't be a concern as I've not heard of handles breaking frequently on these machines. Compared to the Cuisinart, and old Keurig machines, this machine is beautiful. It looks pretentious. It has a touchscreen. The touchscreen and reservoir light colors are customizable. It's the kind of kitchen countertop appliance you leave out so your guests can drool over it and make you feel better about yourself, just like a nice Kitchenaid stand mixer. (I have both in my kitchen, next to two bottles of wine, because I am insecure) The K-Carafe is a nice feature - and I do mean that. Sometimes you need a lot of coffee after a night of clubbing with your hoity toity friends and drinking too many cosmopolitans or appletinis. This makes it easy to brew about two travel mugs' worth of coffee. The carafe packs run between $1.00 and $1.25 - reasonable given the price of a normal K-Cup. Just do yourself a favor and get the thermal carafe. The plastic one that comes in the box looks cheap, feels cheap, and the coffee will be room temp in under 15 minutes. Bottom line - the 550 is a worthy replacement for your old Keurig, but it is not an upgrade if you already have a higher end Keurig.. In fact, I've cut apart my old Cuisinart machine with a Dremel tool and replaced the leaking water valve because I missed the hot water dispensing features so much. However, it now looks like a mangled Terminator 100 and cannot go in my pretentious kitchen. My uppity betta fish would not be caught dead around it.
Pros: Easy to clean, Brews quickly, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Loud, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot
I would recommend this to a friend!
