Convenient & quick, but a little glitchy

I received my Keurig 2.0 as a Christmas gift. My husband doesn't drink coffee, so I don't use a traditional coffee pot. Being able to brew just a cup at a time for me is very convenient. I love how quickly it brews, and that there is no guesswork on measuring the coffee. I also like having the option to brew a carafe for times when I want a couple of cups or have friends over. When using the carafe, I do sometimes miss having a warming plate, because the coffee doesn't stay hot for long in the carafe. But since I mostly use the single-cup feature, this isn't much of an issue. One disadvantage to the 2.0 system is that while there are plenty of K-cups on the market, many are not compatible with 2.0. I would love to support my local coffee places that have cups compatible with the older models, but they don't work on my machine. Another issue I've noticed is that the machine is not consistent in the amount that it brews. You have the choice in how many ounces to brew, but I notice that it frequently brews much less than what I choose. I select a 10 oz brew, for example, and get less than 8 oz. It doesn't seem to matter whether I am brewing coffee or specialty drinks, either. This is a little thing, but one I hope gets corrected for future models. I do wish the K-cups were a bit easier to recycle. The K-carafe pods are actually simple to clean out and recycle, because the filter part just pulls out. If the regular K-cup pods would have the same pull-top feature, I would feel much less guilty about the amount of plastic I'm throwing out all the time. All in all, I really do love my Keurig 2.0, and have found many K-cups that are delicious. For me the convenience of being able to brew just a cup at a time along with the ease of use outweighs any negatives. For fair disclosure, I am receiving some free K-cups for posting a review today. Was disappointed that I had to go to the web for ideas on how to get rid of plastic taste. Very disappointed that you cannot use a refillable Kcup. The HP mentality may be your demise ... because of the cost of the product, I expected much more.

Use the brewer on a daily basis High altitude feature provides for a higher temp brewing - Needles have a tendency to clog. FAQs don't address clearly the importance of removing K-Cups right after brewing cycle to prevent needles for clogging.
