It is a great idea; I can drink my hi octane coffee at night while my wife has her decaf! Ocassionally I switch to chai tea. This machine is ready for anything!

After experiencing the wonder of Keurig while deployed to Afghanistan last year, I told my wife that we HAD to get one! She surprised me with the K550 when I returned, and we LOVE it! Being from the South, I love being able to brew a glass of sweet ice tea anytime! My wife loves the Pecan Praline coffee, and the Strawberry Burst Vitamin-packed drink, and our 16 year old enjoys the Swiss Miss hot chocolate on cold mornings! The brewer is a little noisy when pre-heating, and brewing, and cleaning takes about 30 minutes, but well-worth these minor issues given the vast variety of drink choices available for everyone! Thank you Keurig, for giving us the opportunity to review this great product!!

Don't like the fact that Keurig changed to a feature that requires a user to only use Keurig K-cups. It doesn't matter that much to me as those are the only ones that I buy anyway. Feel that it should be up to the consumer though as to what they want to buy. Keurig makes such a good coffeemaker anyway that they shouldn't limit what can be used. I do love my new Keurig though and my one cup at a time whenever I want it. Thanks, Keurig for the free packs for this review.

Love my 2.0 K550!! I like that you have multiple options for coffee size, I do wish there was a larger size than 10 oz. Like that you can change the water reservoir. The unit could sit a little higher like my old one as my LARGE travel mug doesn't fit under. Need to offer more flavors in the K-Carafe cup. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs for this review

I have been reading reviews about the carafe not keeping the coffee hot long enough or not holding enough coffee, to those ppl I say you bought the wrong machine.I didnt buy a single serve coffee maker to make a pot of coffee. The only con is having to fuss about trying to get hot water. I know they did it to get us to buy their tea and cocoa "K" cups but with a utility knife and used cocoa cup that issue was resolved. The "cold" coffee from the carafe included can also be overcome easily by either upgrading the carafe or using the microwave. Otherwise its perfect for my needs. Nice big reservoir , fast recovery for making multiple cups, a strength option, 4 size options timer, and so on. I feel improvements on a 2.1 would be the same 4 size options for hot water with a "one touch" dispensing feature and bringing the price down to earth. Thank you Keurig for helping me be a coffee drinker again. Now how about making some more chocolate options.

This machine doesn't brew as fast as our previous Keurig but is still satisfactory. After brewing, drips continue considerably longer than our previous brewer but is manageable. Menu process is very easy and fast for variables. Cleaning flag very helpful. Would certainly purchase again. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
