I used to make a 12 cup pot of coffee each morning. My husband always had 3 "mugs" but there was never enough for me to have a third. So I would add water at the end of brewing, hoping to get a decent cup of coffee. Somedays I would heat that 3rd cup in the microwave in the afternoon. Definitely NOT the taste of fresh coffee. I also like flavored coffees. He does not. We had used a Keurig at my brother's house, but I couldn't convince my husband to buy one because he insisted on having the option to make a pot. Well, you solved that problem with the Keurig 2.0 brewers. Now we both have fresh coffee whenever we want, and I can even have a special flavored one in the afternoon. I am one happy coffee drinker. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

I love this coffee pot ,I only have one complaint,I buy my coffee at bus the box has 84 Krupp in the box ,it is only two of us here ,except when we have company,and now I can not use those cups in my new coffee pot ,is there any way I can override this feature,so I can use them.Otherwise I can't say enough about this product it is a keeper,would not be without it thanks This was a gift from my mom

For the new coffee drinker

Being a student, I'm always tired and in need of coffee to wake me up in the morning. The Keurig 2.0 550 is beyond amazing at helping me get the day started. The 550 comes with a carafe, which appeals me significantly because now I can make a cup for my girlfriend/friends. The features is what stands out with this machine...from the 80oz reservoir, to the color touch display and the illuminating light in the reservoir which adds a lot of customization in this particular machine. You can set the time to turn on the brewer and it starts to pre-heat your brewer which I love! (and also to turn off) On older machines you would have to take the reservoir and fill it up with water, but with the 550 you have an open and close lid so adding water to it is more convenient. One cool feature is the option to press the "strong" button and the water fills up the k-cup slower to give you a stronger brew. Do know that this doesn't use all k-cups!! it only uses the registered k-cups with the white rim on top. So overall, the Keurig 2.0 550 gives you more customizable options than the previous 2.0 models and if that's something you like I would get the 550. Couldn't be happier with this machine! I use my Keurig everyday and on the weekends I use my carafe. I love the different brewing settings and all of the other unique settings. I wouldn't make my coffee any other way except through a a Keurig coffee maker.
