I already had a Keurig Special Edition and I loved it, had it for 3 years and it worked great, quick, easy to clean, reliable. When the 2.0 came out with the Carafe packs I decided to upgrade and pass my previous one to my mom (who is still using it and loving it, stills works great). I am so glad I upgraded to the Keurig 2.0 K550. It looks great, very modern which is nice since it sits out on the counter at all times. It works just as great if not better than my previous Keurig. But the additional features are great, there are a lot of customizable settings as far as color and look on the lighting but also when brewing. The "strong" option is great if you like your coffee a stronger than usual. The auto on/off setting is also great if you are an early morning person like me, have it set to turn on/warm up at 6:00 am so all I have to do is drop in a K-Cup and push "brew" and grab my coffee on the way out. And if forget to turn it off, have it set to auto turn off at 6:30. Couldn't be happier about this setting. And the Carafe pack is a big plus, especially on weekends for the couples or when you have company over. Am sure there are still more setting I still have to explore but so far am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it, especially if you are a fan of the Keurig products...this one is another great one. This machine inspired us to build a coffee station in our home. The few cons we have expeirened are not enough to detour us from reccomending to a friend or giving it a 41/2 star rating! I started with a Keurig 2.0 350, I was so impressed by the speed and the "real barista" quality coffee it produced. So impressed, that only after two weeks of using the 350, I had to have the Keurig 2.0 550. I use it everyday, I'm having all the Latte's, Mocha's, Specialty Tea's, Cocoa's, etc...."That I was paying ten (10) dollars a drink for, in a coffee shop, I'm having at home for mere pennies. it can't get any simpler, if you know how to fill water in a container, and you know how to push a button., you can use it. My husband and I love this machine, we had an older version keurig and loved that also. We just wanted to upgrade! Kids also love it for their hot chocolate and hot apple cider. And so simple for them to use. Pretty much idiot proof, lets you know when to change filter, add water, etc.. The only thing I would have to say negative, is the carafe that it comes with, doesn't keep the coffee hot. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

I have completely converted to K_Cups and my 2.0 system from drip and instant coffees/teas. The hot water option while not perfect allows the whole family to have one appliance on the counter for our hot beverages. Would love to have the amount of water dispensed to be increased a bit for cups, but the carafe option is a great addition.
