We had a small keurig and needed an upgrade. LOVE that we can fill a carafe! It's so much easier to fill a large travel mug. The one thing I dont like is it does get clogged and I have to clean out coffeee grinds with a paperclip. Other than that, it's great! Also love the coffee auto delivery-never have to worry about running out of coffee. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs, for this review!!!

This is my least fav of Keurigs we have purchased.(3) Proprietary features make it much more complicated and expensive to run.
Pros: Large Pot
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Only Use Keurig Coffee, Limited Features, Long Brew Time, No Temp Setting

I've used and bought Keurig brewers for home and work for years, but I think after this brewer I'll have to go off-brand. It's a beautiful machine, and has lots of options, but it keeps frustrating me by randomly telling me my new K-Cups - ones I've already been using in the machine - aren't authentic K-Cups. Sometimes, if I keep trying with the same cup about a dozen times, it recognizes it, otherwise I have to throw yet another one away and try again. This issue, along with having to give away my stockpile of old K-Cups when I discovered this optical scanner feature on my new brewer, has driven me away from Keurig brewers. When I finally have had enough from this brewer, I'll get another brand to replace it at home. I've already bought a non-Keurig K-Cup brewer for the office.

Cons: Complicated Controls, Errors For K-cup Scanner

I use this product at home everyday. I am disappointed to have to write a bad review, as I have loved my former brewers. That being said, there are a couple of things I do like. I love the touch pad. I love the colors you can use under the water decanter and the various wallpapers are fun. But all that has nothing to do with actually brewing coffee. I am completely disappointed that I can no longer control the temperature of the water/coffee being brewed. My coffee is now luke warm after I add my cream. I am disappointed with the choices of cup size. I would like a larger cup of coffee than 10 ounces. The thing that really bugs me about this brewer, is only being able to get 6 ounces of hot water at a time and to do that I have to stand there and HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN until it's done. SERIOUSLY! I have better things to do than stand at my machine holding down the brew button while I wait for a measly 6 ounces of water. Twice - because I always need more than just 6 ounces. This just really irks me. I am also now stuck with k-cups I can't use because they don't have the Keurig label around the outside ring. You have also made it so that the My-K-Cup can't be used in this brewer. This is your product, that no longer works with your product. Let me guess, you are designing a new My-K-Cup for this brewer that we can buy for the low, low price of $9.99? In closing, if I had not given my last brewer away when this one arrived - I would be using that one and would have given this one away. Then at least I would have a cup of coffee I was happy with.

Hi Kelley A. Wilson , We made the hot water feature that way on the K550 brewer during the development process. We will certainly share your feedback with the product engineering team. The My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology because the brewer has no way of determining what beverage is being used or how much coffee is being added, and therefore cannot adjust to factors such as brew strength and amount of water, which could represent a safety concern. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. To ease the transition to 2.0, please call our Customer Care team at 866-901-2739. You can brew up to 30 oz with the k550, in fact, you will be able to brew different sizes depending on the packs that you insert:
K-Cup: 4 oz. – 10 oz.
Vue: 12 oz. – 16 oz.
K-Carafe: 22 oz. – 30 oz.
Here are some tips on how to get a bigger brew:
Brew a 4-cup carafe using new K-Carafe packs and pour into two 14 oz. travel mugs.
K-Cup: 4 oz. – 10 oz.
Vue: 12 oz. – 16 oz.
K-Carafe: 22 oz. – 30 oz.

The carafe is a great idea, but it does not keep the coffee any warmer than if it sat in a cup. My previous Keuring had the ability to adjust temperature and cup size beyond 10 oz. Why was this not included in the 2.0? Also very poor decision to limit the coffee to Keurig label only. There is no opportunity to use other K cups or ground my own as in the previous models. Thanks Keurig for the free packs for this review.

The included starter carafe isn’t designed for long-term consumption, so we have also introduced the Keurig 2.0 Thermal Carafe, which retains optimum beverage temperature for at least an hour. This sturdy, stainless steel carafe is vacuum-insulated and double-walled, so your last cup can be as delicious as your first. Wish it would do a 14 oz cup at one time

I love my Keurig. However, I wish it would make a 14oz cup of liquid at one time instead of having to brew a 10oz size then lift up the lever and brew a 4oz size.

Hi Karen, thank you for letting us know. With Keurig 2.0 brewer, you have the ability to brew nine or 10 different beverage sizes ranging from four ounces using a K-Cup pack to 30 ounces using our new K-Carafe packs. K-Cup packs: 4 oz-10 oz; Vue packs: 12 oz - 14 oz; K-Carafe packs: 22 oz - 30 oz.

I am so disappointed in my Keurig!! I wanted one because I wanted convenience of different pods along with the ability to brew separate cups of my desired strength of my favorite German coffee. I was so disappointed when I learned the 2.0s have no reusable pods! This is wasteful but also limits my options with his expensive machine. I know you guys want a monopoly on the pods, but it is really shoddy for your customers. I will not buy another Keurig, nor will my friends, if your machines continue with this feature of no reusable pods for the 2.0!!!
