Not what I expected based on other Keurig products

Since I have used other Keurig products for years, and been pleased, I am very disappointed with this product! I read some reviews before ordering and realize now I should have given more consideration to those. The coffee is not hot enough with no ability to change the temp. The carafe is pretty much worthless since it is not insulated, doesn't keep coffee even warm. It has been used to brew the coffee, then I transfer the coffee to an insulated carafe;should not need to do that! My suggestion for those considering the 2.0 system is to read all the reviews first, I only have myself to blame. A real bummer! Pretty sure no one from Keurig reads these reviews?
Pros: Brew Size Selection, Good Reservoir Size, Quick Ship, Attractive
Cons: Coffee is not hot enough, Noisy, Slow In Making Carafe, Carafe Is Not Adequate

Keurig 500 a Complete Failure

This unit should be pulled from the market at once. I received fare warning from various review sites and the vendor that sold it to me, that these new 500 models are trouble. When I reported this issue to the vendor, she politely said, "wow, you actually got 5 days ". Many others never got that many days. Keurig has done nothing to pull these off the shelves as myself and others have to jump through hoops to report the issue and get a replacement. I should have heeded the warning. Keurig is NOT owing up to its reputation. I have never been more angry. Who knows how many more I will have to set up before I get one that actually works. The fact that they are replacing these with no recall announcements means many more are hitting the shelves. DO NOT BUY THESE UNITS. THEY ARE JUNK!!!!!

Great machine for single cups, carafes, soups and even found oatmeal options for it. Read reviews about coffee not being hot enough. Don't understand what is with that I have mine on the hottest setting and it is more than hot enough. Love the options for changing led colors and the different wallpapers available as well. Machine does so much more than my old Vue did . The Vue died after the warranty expired but Keurig stepped up and OFFERED the new 2.0 as a replacement. I was glad to accept and glad I did. Great machine. Thanks Keurig.
Pros: Led Color Options, Nightlight Options, Variety Of Brewing Sizes, Wallpaper Options

Keurig needs to improve their product

I purchased our Keurig as Christmas gift for my husband and I am not impressed. I have changed the filters, de-scaled it every 6 months as recommended, and yet, every couple of days I have to take the water reservoir off and flush it because it takes so long to brew a cup of coffee. After doing this it works great again for a couple of days. I was thinking maybe we should just purchase another one, but you know what, my Mr. Coffee, coffee pot lasted for years without any problems and it was a lot less expensive and lot less work. I refused to purchase another Keurig.
Cons: Long Brew Time, Loud, HARD TO CLEAN

Terrible machine

I bought the new 2.0 K550 for 2 reasons. One, to replace an older model. Two, to be able to brew a K-Carafe of coffee on weekends for my husband and myself. I've had the machine for 15 months and I need to replace it. The K-Carafe is not insulated resulting in cold coffee. There is an issue with it plugging up and not dispensing the appropriate amount of water and what is dispensed is SLOW . It also drips constantly after the brewer stops. I can only brew one cup at a time before I have to clean the needle out. Then I have to run at least 8ozs of hot water without a K-Cup through the machine before I put in an other K-cup or I won't get any water. I've tried to descale once a week and clean the needle every time I brew a cup. I'm tired of spending all this time just to get a cup of coffee. My husband took my other brewer to his office....I'm tempted to have him bring it home as I have quite a bit of K-cup in the pantry.
Cons: Long Brew Time, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Purchased Model 550, heating module died after three weeks. Customer service replaced with a 450, which also stopped dispensing water after 4 wks. of use. Replaced again ,by Custer service with another 450, which just stopped dispensing again. Have had 3 other models prior to the new 2.0 series and never had any problems. Don't buy 450 or 550 model.
Pros: Multiple Settings

Horrible machine

We owned a basic Keurig model that worked very well, but due to a lightening strike was fried. We then bought a new model from Costco, the K560 (which is identical to the K550). We had to return the first one because it began malfunctioning almost immediatley and would not brew more than an ounce or 2 of coffee. We returned it and purchased the exact same model. It worked well for a week but is now having the exact same problem. How can the product malfunction so badly? We are so disappointed in the product and miss our old, well-performing machine!
Cons: Malfunctioned Immediately

Great Upgrade

I purchased this as an upgrade to my VUE 600. At first I was a little apprehensive since VUE packs without the proper marking didn't work in the machine. But low and behold the VUE packs in my last order were properly marked and all is well in coffee land! :) The 2.0 system is very easy to use and I can brew any beverage I choose, including 14oz coffee from a VUE pack. This was a must for me since that is the setting I used with the VUE 600. I also like the fact that I can brew any Keurig coffee pack. From K-Cup to Carafe, they all work. So if I just want a smaller cup of coffee I can use a K-Cup. My regular cups, a VUE pack. Or for more people, a Carafe. If there is anything bad that I can say about the 2.0, it's that you can't adjust the temperature of the water. But so far, I haven't felt the need to do that. To sum this up, for me the 2.0 went from a near disaster to a perfect 10.
