A FRESH HOT CUP OF COFFEE EVERY TIME

I have been looking for the perfect cup of coffee most of my adult life. I'm 68, I have perked it, dripped it, pressed it, I have ground my own beans, roasted my own beans, looking for that great fresh cup of coffee. About 12 years ago I heard about a single cup coffee maker on a national radio talk show from Keurig. So I ordered it. I was a bit pricey but when you're on a quest for that perfect cup you might go that extra step. I loved it, I share it with friend which also loved it but not willing to spend the extra money. After a bit they started selling a less expensive model in department stores and when my first machine finally quit working, they sent me a new model like what was being sold in the department stores. I have bought and used most of the Keurig machines that they have sold over the years, and have recommended their product to everyone that likes fresh coffee. When the VUE came out, I purchased one of those which I loved too, however it didn't catch on with the public and finding the coffee pods weren't as easy to find. I even had two working coffee pots on my counter top. One for Kcups and one for VUE. Well now they have come out with the 2.0, the best of both worlds. I bought the 550, it has the largest water reservoir and a large color screen to display options. I can make my 8 to 10 oz k-cup, larger cup of VUE, or a 32 oz carafe of hot coffee. Now if you are wanting to drink one cup at a time or sharing two cups each with a friend I would suggest getting the stainless steal pot which works great. However don't expect it to stay hot for hours, but it will stay hot for that additional cup. Also by using the carafe you can make two 16 oz cups. The machine is relative quite as far as coffee pots go, much quitter that most of the keurig makers I've had in the past. My only disappointment in the 2.0 is that you can't increase the temperature of water as you could in the VUE, I guess hotter coffee wasn't as important to John Q. Public, so they didn't put that option on this new one. I love the coffee that I get from Keurig. You can get a mild roast, a strong roast, any degree of coffee you could wish for. The coffee maker makes a hot fresh brew ever time. The 550 is the machine I have and it looks great and works great. I bought my son the 440 and he loves his too. In the past the coffeemakers I have had, and used did not last for ever, how ever Keurig has replaced the ones that wore out or stopped working with out charge, weather that has changed or not I don't know. In conclusion my 550 2.0 works every time and makes a great cup or cups of coffee every time. I would recommend it to anyone.

I love this brewer better that any other. All the functions are great. The only dislike is that I can only use Keurig Kcups. I wish I was able to use different brand Kcups of the ones I really like. Other than that no complaints!!1

Our family uses this almost everyday. The larger Carafe is a plus, but the inability to use competitive K-Cups is a negative. The durability is a question as after two years our older Keurig brewer failed. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
