May return for K40

I am still on the fence about returning mine cause I love Texas Pecan coffee and was looking forward to using the reusable coffee filter every once in a while. Not so awesome if you have 50 k-cups that you can't use... not happy that it doesn't get hot as the older model Keurig. The following is repeated over and over This does not fix the fresh ground coffe aspect that people love no matter how many K-Cup's you offer.. (Merchant response: Although the My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology, we offer a diverse portfolio of nearly 400 different beverages from 60 brands, giving consumers lots of choices – no matter their taste preferences or their budget. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system. We're sure you can find something that fits your taste.)
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Can't Use Older K Cups, No Reusable Cup Option, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Long Brew Time, Loud
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Tish, We appreciate your feedback and would like to share some further notes about our product. The Keurig 2.0 brewer is the first Keurig brewer to feature Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology, which enables the brewer to recognize the inserted beverage pack and brew each variety in the way it was intended to be enjoyed. The My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology because the brewer has no way of determining what beverage is being used or how much coffee is being added, and therefore cannot adjust to factors such as brew strength and amount of water, which could represent a safety concern. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. To ease the transition to 2.0, please call our Customer Care team at 866-901-2739.

I Love this Coffee Maker!!!

I read the reviews AFTER I bought my 2.0 brewer and was worried that I'd made a bad choice. I'm glad I tried it out before giving up based on the reviews. While it's true that the regular K Cup settings don't offer a size greater than 10 oz, you can use the VUE cups with this machine, and when you put a VUE cup in the coffee machine you have a more extensive list of size choices (including travel mug size!). I love the fact that I can use a K Cup or VUE cup for a single cup (or a Latte!!!) and I can also brew a whole pot of coffee. This machine is awesome!
Pros: Durable, Brews quickly, Multiple Settings, Large Pot, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Stylish
I would recommend this to a friend!

Miss my old Keurig!

I'm a big coffee drinker at Home and at Work. I like the function of the 2.0 of being able to brew a carafe, but the carafe included is very basic and does not keep coffee hot for long. I don't like that I can't brew the same cup size each time and that you have to hold the button down for water. Otherwise, the overall function of this pot is good.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Limited Features

Hi there, We are very happy to hear you are enjoying your Keurig 2.0 Brewer and truly appreciate your feedback! Concerning your question about the Carafe: while the included carafe is not insulated, you can purchase an insulated Keurig 2.0 Thermal Carafe for $29.99. Like It....But it needs improvement

I like my Keurig 2.0, but there is room for improvement. I had a Keurig Vue that I have taken to work to use in my office. I don't like very strong coffee, and the Vue gave me options for a lot of cup sizes. I found that the 12oz size gave me a great cup of coffee for my taste. The 2.0 only brews up to a 10oz single cup size which makes the coffee a little too strong for me. I saw all of the demos but I don't remember the rep or the show host mentioning that it only brews a 10oz singe cup size. With that being said, I still like the brewer. (though not as much as my Vue) Now I have to take an extra step and add a couple of ounces of the hot water to every cup of coffee to make it to my liking. One other thing that is kind of annoying, is the fact that when you lift the handle to remove the used k-pack, the hot water feature comes on and you have to hit the cancel option to make it go away. The carafe brewing is good, especially if you brew into the pot that keeps it hot, that way you can have more than one cup without the need to continue brewing cup after cup. The ability to customize the wallpaper on the touchscreen and the reservoir light is a great feature too. I would recommend this brewer to friends, but warn them of the things that I find lacking about it.
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Limited Features

Hi Kenikky - We appreciate your feedback! To answer your brew size issue, we do have a solution! To brew a larger size, you can use our Vue packs, which can brew up to 14 ounces of coffee. Of course you can continue with the process you are using currently, but there is an option to brew a larger size if you like. All Vue packs can be found here on Keurig.com in a variety of flavors and brands. Thank you

This brewer lost many of the former features that we liked, such as larger cup sizes and the ability to set a default oz size. Overall I am disappointed that I upgraded as the carafe is small and not thermal
Pros: Larger water reservoir, The Water Reservoir Is, Brews quickly
Cons: Cannot Set Default Oz Siz, Carafe Does Not Stay Hot, Grounds Plug Holes Quickl, Carafe Doesn't Hold Much, Very Noisy, Complicated Controls, Limited Features, HARD TO CLEAN, Miss The Larger Cup Sizes, Loud, Small Pot, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs a 12oz size for the real coffee drinkers. My Wife and I brew six to 12 cups per day. We need the 12oz option.
