I saw this and I really liked what I saw. The first Keurig brewer, a single cup was nice and always brewed the coffee the way I liked but sometimes I wanted more than a cup. When I saw the carafe I asked for it for Christmas. When it arrived at my house I didn't wait for Christmas I opened it and started brewing right away. It was easy to set up and I had my first cup within minutes of getting it out of the box. Initially there was a bit of an after taste sometimes but that was short lived and I attributed that to not running enough water through the system initially, I wanted that first cup as soon as possible. And when I brewed my first carafe it was as easy as brewing a single cup. I use the brewer every day for coffee and the rest of the family uses it for hot chocolate and tea, hot and iced, with no complaints. I cannot find any real faults with this system it is easy to use and brews a consistently delicious cup of coffee all the time. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Brews quickly

This is our 2nd Keurig machine, and my family couldn't live without one. My husband and I both have different tastes in coffee and the kids love making hot chocolate! We love having the ability to have a variety of K-cups on hand to satisfy everyone - including our guests. I do miss the 12 oz setting that the older models had and I do wish that I didn't have to hold the brew button to dispense hot water. I do like the nightlight feature of this brewer though, including the ability to change the color of the light. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Large Pot, Durable, Easy to use, Brews quickly, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings
Cons: Hot Water Dispensing, No 12 oz setting

I enjoy my coffee. I enjoy all different kinds of coffee. I cannot always get Kcups and therefor dissappointed I can no longer use my old reuseable replacement coffee filter or a refillable coffee filter from aftermarket. I purchased SEVERAL an NONE work... expensive to find out this machine only will work with K cups... and now I cannot go back to my OLD Keurig as I gave it away an this new one was a gift :( SAD to say I like old technology as I dont use the 2.0 pot much and can only order online the 2.0 coffee inserts... its more work and expensive to use this "gifted" model unfortunately :(
Pros: Large Pot, Stylish, Filter System A Plus, Brews quickly, Easy To Pour Lid, Easy to clean, Easy to use
Cons: Not A Green Design, Only Can Use Kcups, Can Not Use Own Coffee, Expensive For Only Kcups, Use Of Own Coffee Not, No Loose Coffee Option
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mixed feelings

I work from home and am a heavy coffee drinker, so the biggest attraction for me is a hot fresh cup of coffee whenever I want. The 2.0 is a replacement for my Platinum brewer which was no longer working. First thing I noticed was that the 2.0 was much louder and slower (it pulses), but when I realized it made a stronger cup of coffee (always an issue with our previous Keurig) I decided it was an acceptable tradeoff. Being able to make a strong cup of coffee is important in my household and we had a long debate before agreeing to try the 2.0 when our Platinum stopped working instead of going back to a regular drip coffee maker. Being forced to use only Keurig K-cups is a huge negative for me. Not only does it limit which coffees I can brew (yes Keurig you have a decent selection, but some of us have other favorites that aren't available and probably never will be! And I do realize there are ways to get around it, but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to drink my favorite freshly ground coffee.) but I'm also concerned about the amount of landfill waste I'm generating. Being able to use the My K-cup with my previous model was much more favorable to the environment (and let me use the freshly ground coffee of my choice). Of course expense comes into play here too. Having already paid much more than I would for a drip brewer, now I am locked into paying for expensive coffee cups too. If you are an occasional coffee drinker you might not care, but if you have heavy coffee drinkers like my household, it adds up quickly. The biggest annoyance is the hot water when making tea or cocoa. First you have to hold down the button the entire time, it only puts out 6 oz. of hot water, and then you have to wait for the water to heat up again before you can again hold down the button to top off your cup. The 6 oz. limit wouldn't be so annoying if I didn't have to wait for more water to heat up before I could press the button again. So all in all, I am much happier with the coffee made by the 2.0 over my previous Platinum and I love the convenience of a hot fresh cup of coffee whenever I want, but I'm not sure if I'll remain committed to Keurig when this machine dies. If you are a 1-2 cup a day coffee drinker or using this as a less-expensive alternative to your favorite chain, I think you'll be very happy with it. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stronger Coffee Than Prev, Easy to use
Cons: Must Use Keurig K-cups, Only 6 Oz Hot Water

Great Coffee Machine

Most of the time, my wife likes/drinks flavored coffee and I drink non-flavored. So the machine is great about letting us make our "own" type of coffee. Love the ability to add additional water after making a single cup. That allows us to make it just the right strength (individual choices). Having the purchase and change the coffee filter (which we realize is a necessary and healthy thing to do) adds another element of expense to it's operation. And like a previous edition, wished this one would allow use to use a carafe (cup) to make our own purchased cofffee too. Otherwise, there isn't much not to like/love about the K-550 edition.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Can Add Water To Coffee, Easy to use, Durable, Easy To Make, Multiple Choices, Large Pot, Great coffee, Brews quickly
Cons: Wish Could Use Own Coffee, Expensive To Operate

We went with this brewer because it has the hot water on-demand feature as an added bonus to great fresh-brewed coffee. I've used it for teas, hot chocolate packets, and even oatmeal! While I appreciate the unique brew capabilities, it's a shame that it all-out rejects most k-cups designed for previous machines, but we are making do.
Pros: Easy to use, Brews quickly
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Loud, HARD TO CLEAN

We use the single cup in between regular brewing with our whole bean machine. If we just want 3 or 4 cups we use the K Carafe. I retired a Capresso K-Cup machine when we purchased our new 2.0 550. Thanks Keurig for the free packs for this review
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
