Am very disappointed in this coffee maker. After 5 or 6 years our Platinum bit the dust. My wife saw this one with a carafe and thought she needed it. The web site said it came with a filter. It did not so I purchase one for almost $30,00. The carafe feature makes coffee that is so strong you cant drink it, besides the fact of the cost when you can find them. When you want a cup of hot water you have to hold the button down to get 6 ounces. Doesn't anybody remember a cup is 8 ounces? Then after 27 days of operation the de-scale warning comes on. Had the wife pick up a bottle of Keurig descaling solution after work. The solution is $13,00 bought locally. I was very happy with our Platinum but I think I now own $200 dollars worth of junk.

Cons: Limited Features, Loud

More Restrictions, More Money

Yes, it seems like they've restricted use, but there are workarounds (see YouTube for using older Kcups and your own coffee). I know they are planning on adding other Kcup sizes for larger cups of coffee, but I like a 12 oz cup each time. I returned my Nespresso Machine because of the monopolistic coffee prices and lukewarm coffee and Keurig may end up with consumer revolt if we're limited to what coffee we can use because that translates to higher coffee prices. Hey Keurig, where is our own brewer cup? That's the least you can do!

Cons: Limited Features, Loud, More Restrictions, Can't Set Tempature, Carafe Gets Cold Quickly, - Features Restrictions, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

It's going back

I find myself sending back my machine. The machine will not work with traditional K cups and takes twice as long to brew. The new K cups are also twice the price. Come on Keuring!!! I thought you cared about your customers. WOW!

No fresh ground coffee

No refillable filter = no fresh ground coffe I LOVE FRESH GROUND. I will not recmmend the 2.0 to anyone and am sorry I purchased it. This cripling up grade has one less major feature that made me love earlier Keurig brewers. I wish I had my old one back. Buy the K-Cup but pass on the 2.0.

I received a Keurig 2.0 Model K550 complimentary from Influenster for review purposes. I love it. It has a sleek design and it was very easy to assemble, even though It features a nice color display, a larger water reservoir, and also included is a starter carafe. The carafe, is great and super convenient if you want to make 3 or 4 cups at a time. You will have to be the judge about how many cups you wish to make though, since the more you make the weaker the beverage will be. But there is a stronger brew option on the menu screen If you plan on using the carafe a lot, I do recommend that you get the thermal carafe to keep your beverages warm.. One thing, make sure that when you are buying K-Cups, the packaging states that it's for use with Keurig 2.0 Brewers or Compatible with all K-Cup Brewers. Only the licensed K-cups will work. You will get an error message if you attempt to use a non-licensed K-cup pack. Also the hot water on demand feature is pretty cool and will dispense 6 oz. of hot water. I've used this feature to brew tea bags and to even make oatmeal. Overall, I love my Keurig 2.0. It's convenient and it also looks great on my counter.
Pros: Easy to clean, Easy to use, Brews quickly, Multiple Settings
Cons: Loud

Liked it at first, and then.....

I had an older model Keurig before ordering this one. Thinking I was getting a masterpiece. It worked well for the first month, and then.......The touchscreen would not allow me to select the ounces that I needed, but it brewed constantly at 8 oz. That was okay at first, as long as I had my mojo. But, then the touchsreen system went out completely, and I was unable to do anything with the machine. I unplugged it to see if it would reset itself, but I was not in luck. After it sat for half the day, the system came back on, but still I was unable to make any adjustments to the settings, because the touchscreen is frozen. So, I will be sending my machine back, and pulling out the old faithful.

Cons: Touch Screen Stop Working

I have a couple of Keurig coffee makers and I love them. Thought I would try this one and now I'm sorry I wasted the money. The carafe doesn't keep coffe hot for very long and It doesnt seem to make the coffee in the same ammounts as my others do. It seems they tried to make it real fancy and sacrificed the effencecy and the all around ease of the older ones. I also dont like the fact that I have to use specific types of K-cups in the maker. If you run out of the K-cups you can't make any coffee with it like you could with the older ones that came with the adapter to put coffee in. I will be taking this one back. Some people might like it but it deffently is not for me.
