Don't replace older keurig till it fails

keurig needs to let people use reusable k cups to save environment. Glad I got great deal because new features aren't worth the money compared to old brewer. I would recommend brewer for convience but would not tell friends to replace old brewer for 2.0 model.

Cons: Drips After Done Brewing, Doesn't Brew Older K Cups

Almost perfect!!

I bought the 2.0 K550 brewer within 2 months of the new systems coming out. My previous brewer had died after a good 7 year run. I did a lot of research and was torn between getting another standard Keurig brewer or upgrading to the latest/greatest model. I found an incredible deal allowing me to get the 2.0 K550 at a price lower than a standard brewer so I purchased it. I am highly satisfied with the k-cup options - all of the brands I drink are compatible with the new brewer. I love that we can still get hot water, though I wish it was up to 8 oz instead of the limit of 6 oz. I thought I could brew travel mug size cups but I was mistaken; the manual says possible future brew sizes, so maybe there is a chance? As it stands you can only brew up to 10 oz (or the carafe). The 10 oz brew size definitely requires the use of the "strong" brew button, and some brands are just coffee water when you use the 10 oz size (Folgers being one of them). As far as the temperature of the beverages - it is the same as older models, the maximum of 192 degrees. This is fine if you drink it immediately...otherwise it requires a trip to the microwave. My husband likes his tea REALLY hot, so he just microwaves it immediately after brewing. Overall the pros outweigh the cons. There are literally tons of varieties of beverages & the k-cups are always on sale at the stores. It makes a great cup of coffee fast...and the option to use the carafe if you have a handful of people is a bonus. I would buy my 2.0 K550 brewer all over again if given the choice.

Hot water should dispense in more than just the 6 ounce setting. Carbon filter holder needs to be easier to open.

This is a great coffee machine - my first Keurig and very happy with it. Find it laughable that the vast majority of negative reviews have to do with the K-cup licensing issues rather than the performance of the machine itself, which in my case has been flawless. Great tasting coffee but needs tweaking

I was received this brewer as a gift for Christmas . It brews and very great tasting cup of coffee, but am dissapointed as the brewer clogs every few days. I have never used anything but K Cups bought off the Keurig web site and every few days I have to take a paperclip and unclog the back top needle of coffee grounds. After that everything brews fine I e-mailed customer service asking them about this several days ago but havent heard back yet. I also wish you could brew more than 10 oz of coffee at a time so I could fill my larger travel mugs Thanks Keurig for the free packs for this review
