A step up from our last brewer!

My husband and I use our K550 several times every day. We had a simple K45 machine before and the pump went out after 3 years. We upgraded to the K550 and it has been working great. I don't care for the hot water feature, I like big cups of tea and I used the hot water dispenser with my old machine a lot for that, the new one only dispenses 6 oz. of water at a time and you have to stand there the whole time and push the button, not a deal breaker for us but I prefer just pushing the button and walking away. I like that you can use different pod sizes. I thought the description "10 Brew Sizes (4oz.-30oz. carafe)", is a little misleading because you are not able to use all sizes with all pods, the regular kcup pods let you dispense 4-10oz., not more. I do realize that you wouldn't want to dispense 30oz. of water through a little kcup, but 12oz. would be nice! You have to use the right pods for this machine, if you have any knockoffs or old ones they won't work. I had old pods and Keurig gave me a coupon to buy new pods, that was very nice! Our machine works well, I like the light in the tank, I love, love, love the bigger water tank size (best part!!! You don't have to fill it all the time), customer service was great and friendly with replacing old pods, it brews my coffee very well.

Cons: Have To Push For Water, Hot Water Disp Only 6 Oz

Love my K550 but disiponted in lack of pod options

The K550 does not include the option to brew my own coffee favorites. There is no K Cup available for this model. I request that the company come up with an option for using my own ground coffee in a K cup that is applicable to this product. I am not sure I would have purchased this model if I would have discovered this prior to purchase two weeks ago. Love all the other features and the ability to customize each cup. Please provide us with an option to use a re-usable K Cup and my favorite brews from local roasters.

I was disappointed with the new Keurig as you can not make a 14 oz cup of coffee with this machine. My old Keurig you could set it for the size of coffee cup you would like and it would stay there for each brew. The new one you have to set it each time you brew. and in order to get the 14oz you have to brew twice with the same pod.
Pros: Durable, Brews quickly, Easy to clean

I feel Limited by this machine

I love so many things about this brewer. I have owned over 5 different Kuerig brand brewers. The only thing that bothers me about this one, is the fact that I cant have 12 oz as an option on the K cups. I did that for years before this brewer and loved the flavor just fine. Same goes for the hot water only. Why can't I just choose 12 or 18 oz, instead the only option of 6 and I have to hold down the button until its done pouring the 6? Fix those two issues and I will rewrite this review in a heart beat. Otherwise, I haven't had a brewer that I didn't love.

I buy the BEST KEURIG BREWER, but my Kcups won't work?

I am a COFFEE FANATIC & drink at least 5 cups/day myself, and my husband drinks 1. My "autoship" order is EXPENSIVE, so you would think that the NEWEST & BEST BREWER would work, but this unit has issues.... 1) refuses to brew Kcups that I purchased prior (& they are NO DIFFERENT then new ones) 2) will only brew up to 10 oz, which isn't enough for me (have ALWAYS used 12 oz on past brewers) 3) tells me that it is "time to descale" when the filter is only 1 week old! I LOVE Kuerig, and don't want to be "dissatisfied", but they need to remedy the problems with this brewer for me to remain a customer.

Cons: Complicated Controls, Won't Use Old Kcups

Very unhappy

2nd Brewer and second time this model quit pumping water. Totally unhappy!!! Leaning towards an old fashioned Mr Coffee Brewer. Coffe doesn't stay warm in the carafe. Did like being able to make a cup of coffee whenever I was in the mood.

Worst Brewer ever...

Have the Keurig Platinum brewer already and LOVE it.. you can adjust the heat settings for tea or coco or if your making a drink for a child or just dont like super hot coffee. Its quiet, has never not worked, its quick and looks great on the counter.. I bought eh K550 for my other home and was excited because its the new model .... WELL>>> IT REALLY AND TRUELY IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT>>> I am not on my 3rd unit.. its loud... it actually makes a pumping noise that splatters, it takes longer to brew coffee.. there is no heat settings and is a bigger unit . I am very disappointed and hope Keurig does something to fix the problems. the quality is not as good as the older ones..
