I am an avid Keurig fan! We have owned at least 5 Keurig's and have gotten many family/friends addicted as well. When they came out with the carafe version I was very excited as this comes in handy when there are more than a couple of people drinking coffee. I purchased the K550 and have to say.....I'm very disappointed. I miss being able to brew the 12 oz size, being able to use my own coffee on occasion and the automatic hot water (not having to hold the button down). I also find it is quite a bit louder than previous models. Still brews a good cup of coffee and is very stylish, but it will cost more in the long run.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Durable
Cons: Limited Features, Loud

Thank you for your review. Have you heard about our K-MUG pods? Our K-MUG pods are listed under the beverage section. They will allow you to brew cups over 10 oz's without having to use a Carafe. Also, we’ve heard consumers’ requests and we are actively working on technology advancements to ensure we have a My K-Cup® solution that will be compatible with Keurig 2.0 technology. We’re still refining the technology. Our plan is to introduce it for the 2015 holiday season. We hope this information is helpful.

I was so excited to receive the Keurig 550. Its so disappointing. It needs to be cleaned with a bent paper clip after every 4th or 5th use if you use KCups daily. However if you use the Vue cups (more expensive) it doesn't need cleaning as often. I have called several times and gotten nowhere with customer service. Should have stuck with my original brewer from 8 years ago, it was the best.
Pros: Easy to use, Typical Keurig
Cons: Needs To Be Cleaned Often, HARD TO CLEAN

not my first Keurig

Loved, loved my first Keurig brewer. I really like the carafe supplied with this new Keurig for brewing morning coffee for both my husband and me, but although the carafe seems insulated it does not keep the coffee hot for very long. I very much like the new "strong" setting for brewing a larger cup without losing a more intense flavor. I am disappointed that I cannot use refillable pods for using my favorite grounds and hope that Keurig will solve that issue in the future for this is all and all a great product. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.

Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Can't Use Refillable Pods

We received a Keurig 550 as a wedding gift and promptly started to use it. Upon, first use, we had issues with the touch screen. However, when we contacted Keurig, they immediately sent us a replacement unit. Aside from that issue (it is a computer, after all…technology is not fool proof), we absolutely love our 550 and use it all the time…several times a day. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review. This was motivation to write the review…not love it (we already had an older Keurig and desperately wanted a more updated one).

Brews a great cup of coffee. Very noisy when brewing, very disappointed. To fill a travel cup have to use K-Caraf or K-mug, your forcing me to buy something I don't need. Need another oz setting. Need adapter so can brew my coffee if I want. Needs a lot of improvements .

K550 Huge Disappointed again

My 4th Keurig and the 3rd machine to have problems making a cup of coffee what this machine is designed to do. I have had this machine for exactly 1 week and it has exhibited similar problems that my mini and K45 have - fails to make a full cup of coffee and now it is not working at all. Huge Disappointment and there is nothing clogged the machine is new - I have made only 8-10 cups on the out of the box new machine using licensed Dunking Donuts KCups Keurig Mini exhibited the same issue - the K45 would make a small cup or partial even though I selected large.
Pros: None
Cons: Failed To Brew After 1wk

Great machine with 3 minor issues that make it just OK

Makes good coffee with many great settings and features, but....... Have to reset clock once a week because it's 20min off by then! My reusable 20oz Cups don't fit under the spout, unacceptable for a top of the line machine as tall as it is. The new scanner system to check if the pod is Keurig Brand is annoying to use with my Reusable Pod, so easily hacked, not sure why they even bothered to annoy their customer. This model was sent as a replacement for my Platinum Brewer. I am very disappointed with the new version. It takes a long time to brew, the pump is noisy, and cleaning it requires disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling three pieces. But most disappointing, I find that many kcups, even thought labeled for 2.0 and containing the correct white band, split completely open when punctured by the top needle. The water spills around the cup, the air does not go through, and grounds spill over. Also, the cups come out full of water and drip all over, necessitating cleaning the holder, the needle, and often the countertop. I miss my old single cup Brewer that used any Kcups. It was able to make a full mug of hot water and had the option of making a 12 ounce mug.
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Loud, Limited Features, Long Brew Time
