Just received and set up....works nicely in trial brews. Miss the 12 oz brew, I used it before because my coffee strength was perfect! So I guess we will see.....
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: No Brew Temp Adjustment, No 12 Ounce Size Cup, Limited Features

Like the large water tank. Also the hot water only dispenser. Like the "strong" coffee choice button option. We use the machine several times a day, everyday. Having several color choices on the 550 model would be nice.
Pros: Easy to use, Brews quickly, Multiple Settings, Big water tank, Large Capacity Water Tank, Hot Water Dispensor, "strong" Choice Option
Cons: Lack Of Color Choices

We got this brewer as a gift and I just can not justify the cost of the k-cups. It's great and a novelety at first but that quickly wears off when you start to do the math and figure out how much more you are spending then using a regular coffee machine. For tea drinkers it's even worse. Especially when you can only use specially branded k-cups. We will be using up what we have and this machine, as beautiful as it is, will be relegated to the basement or perhaps donated.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Restrictive, Expensive

I wanted the Keurig 2.0 Brewing System primarily because of being able to brew a carafe of coffee, but when I bought the machine I found that is was not a thermo carafe (rather useless carafe instead). So I had to buy the thermo one in addition to the system. I rinse the system often, and clean regularly but have found using the maintenance alerts is not easy. I'm surprised each time I am alerted - I know I just did the job, so tell myself I don't need to do it. Keurig needs a better method. For brewing the size cup we need (16 oz.) we first brew 10 oz, and then 6 oz without removing the K-cup. This takes time so I tried the travel size K-cups and bought the Keurig 16 oz Stainless Steel Travel mug. The mug is terrible (I should return it). My husband burned his tongue using it - not easily usable when traveling. The 2.0 Brewing System does though make a good cup of coffee so I of course will continue using it, but Keurig should redesign some of the features. P.S. I do also have a problem with the Drip Tray and the Plate - could be a little larger for wider cups and sometimes the plate attaches itself to the bottom of a cup and lifts off the tray.
Pros: Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Long Brew Time, Maintenance Alerts Poor, Doesn't Brew 16oz Easily, Complicated Controls

During the week I mostly drink tea and it will only brew 6 oz at a time and requires me to hold the brew button the entire time! I did find a work around; I use one of the refillable k-ups with nothing in it. I drink coffee on the week ends, with no problem. HOWEVER, this is the 2nd 2.0 I've had that WILL NOT BREW a carafe!!! It tells me to add water when the reservoir is full! With my first 2.0 I did the whole cleaning/descaling/new filter, (even though it was a brand new machine because Keurig support wouldn't even talk to me, until I completed all those measures. After doing all that, It brewed ONE carafe and went back to the 'add water' When I finally returned it I bumped up to the K-550 and guess what? IT WILL NOT BREW A CARAFE EITHER and I get the same exact message!! The only time I want to even use the carafe is when my daughter visits, but a lot of good it does me. Returning is such a hassle, so i'll just keep this one and continue to discourage people from buying this brand. (I'm again the whole not being able to use the refillables; very bad for the environment, shame on you Keurig). It will be the last time I buy this brand. Boo On You!
Pros: None
Cons: Complicated Controls

Our office just had to have the Keurig system - now we've gone through 3 of your machines in 2 years, the old Mr. Coffee we had was in use for 12 yrs before this and was working fine, the last 2 Keurigs haven't even lasted 4 months, the quality is horrendous.

The box didn't indicate there were three pod sizes to be used. It was too difficult to brew larger mug sizes. Selected cup size didn't brew correctly. I have used Keurig coffee makers for many years and am disappointed for the first time. I am returning my 550.
Pros: Large Water Resovoir
Cons: Didn't Brew Selected Size, Two Difficult To Use, Only Uses Keurig K Cups
