Finally brewing coffee

Love our Kurig 550. Down side is the water setting. You have to hold the brew button down for the entire time. On the 350 $ 450 you just push and walk away. This is frustrating. Not sure why the down graded this feature on the better model. Thanks, Kurig, for the free boxes for this review.

I love the 2.0 .. to keep the pot of coffee hot I purchased the stainless steel carafe... works great!! pricing is a plus on keurig,com .. have nothing but great experiences ,, and now that I can brew it a pot at a time... awesome. My 2.0 500 has larger reservoir for water and the addition of the cover on hinges .... priceless. Will be a keurig lover for life !!!!! Keurig kcups are the absolutely best when it comes to flavor and pricing .... now buying mostly the carafe pods ...and then the ability to earn points ...... TKS KEURIG FOR THE FREE PACKS FOR THIS REVIEW ...

A very nice brewing system

Received our new Keurig 2.0 after our original Keurig died and am very impressed with the new system. It's easy to use and has a lot of nice features. We were excited about being able to brew a carafe, but lost some enthusiasm when we realized that the carafe does not keep the coffee warm. I've started pouring the carafe into a thermos to ensure that the second cups are stil somewhat hot. Overall, it's a very nice brewing system that will brew a perfect cup of coffee every time. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

The user has to remember there is more water being heated for a full carafe instead of 1 cup.

There are many things Keurig has gotten wrong with this machine. The noise on the old models was much less. The needles clog up frequently and I have had to clean the needles multiple times already and I have only had it for a few months. In the old model I had it for 4 years not once did it get "clogged".
Pros: Large Pot, Multiple Settings
Cons: Loud, Long Brew Time, HARD TO CLEAN, Complicated Controls

Great Machine....for the most part

I like this brewer more than my recently "retired" Keurig Vue because it allows me to use K-Cups which have a larger variety of flavors than the Vue-Cups. However, the timer settings are a bit quirky as sometimes the machine is not on when I'm ready to leave in the morning. At first I thought it was operator error but I've double checked the settings on several occasions. Also, I wish it had a travel mug setting like the Vue because my container holds 14 ounces so I brew the same K-cup on a ten ounce setting and then repeat the brew on the 4 ounce setting. Finally, there are no temperature settings and I like my coffee very hot. I usually put it in the microwave for 30 seconds before I walk out the door which adds extra time to my morning routine. Other than those things, the brewer is great!

New 2.0 for the office

I bought this pot for the office at work. I do love the design, its wonderful to have a fresh cup of coffee at anytime. I am thinking about replacing my Keurig at home with this model, I love the strong option. I can set the water temperature on the one I have at home but not the new one, this is the only con I have. Lori

K550: A Step Backwards for Keurig

Keurig has taken a major step backwards with the introduction of the 2.0 K550 model. Only Keurig Brand K-cups will work. 10 oz. is the largest single cup brew size. Changing the Brew Temp. is no longer an option. I am very disappointed in this model. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pakcs for this review.
