We use our 550 every morning and some afternoons. Menus are easy to navigate. My previous Keurig brewer had a 12 oz cup size and had programmable brew and temperature. Wish there were a larger selection of coffees for the carafe. Guess they will show up eventually. Otherwise a good machine. All things considered I would still recommend the 550.
Pros: Durable, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Easy to use
Cons: Cannot Program A Cup, Cannot Program Temp, Cup Size Not Large Enough

This is our first Keurig and we enjoy the ease of use, the options available (oh so many coffee types to choose from) and the no clean up, no fuss convenience for very busy people. It is used everyday, weekends and all; however I find that the coffee brew temperature is not hot enough for me. This is where a percolator is superior; I enjoy very hot coffee. Because of this, I have to constantly heat up the coffee in the microwave, which I don't like to do. I am not an avid fan of using the microwave oven on a daily basis. Who knows what the long term effects may be on us! If Keurig can get that right, it would be so wonderful! Sometimes the hot water feature is not reliable - the right amount water does not come out. In fact, this feature did not work at all on my Keurig so I had to send it back and Keurig immediately sent me a new one. This one works better, but there is still some unpredictability with the hot water feature. Overall, we enjoy the convenience and the fact that we can enjoy so many different brands of coffee without having to spend a lot of money. We have tasted so many coffee brands that we probably would not otherwise have enjoyed. By the way, I still use my old-fashioned percolator coffee pot which sits right on the stovetop; it really brews an old-fashioned tasting rich cup of coffee like in the olds, no corners cut!
Pros: Easy to use, No cleaning, Convenience, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly
Cons: Hot Water Unreliable, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

After operating coffee cafes in the past, I had been skeptical that a single serve brewer could create a suitable cup of coffee that would satisfy me my pickiness. I drink 3-4 cups a day. The K550 not only gives me a great cup that I can customize, but the large reservoir keeps me coffee happy all day. It's fast and hot! The only drawbacks are that the water tank, when low, may sometimes have enough water for my next cup, but won't allow a brew until I refill and occasionally the preheat takes a few extra seconds. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review!
Pros: Brews quickly, Multiple Settings, Customizable, Easy to clean, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Refill Alert Too Early

New Keurig Lacking Quality

I recently bought the 550, this is the third Keurig, We had the Platinum, but it finally broke down (was a great brewer). I ordered a Keurig online and right out of the box, it would only brew about 1 TBSP of hot water, I would have to run it through about 5 times to finally get a cup of coffee. After a few days, I called for assistance, of course we had to run through the cleaning process of a brand new machine. They did send me a new one at no charge, the same problems occur. It took me 3 times to fill the carafe, I have to say I wasn't happy at all. As for the carafe, it only kept the coffee warm for about 30 mins. A full carafe only fills two travel mugs. The size selection is too small, a 10oz cup is the biggest it will brew. Then the new K-Cups, they have fixed it where you can only use theres or the brands they sponsor. I bought the store brand the other day, the same ones we used in the past, and the machine says, "sorry wrong cups". I think it's time to get the Mr.Coffee system, it will use most brands of K-Cups. I am very disappointed.
Pros: Easy to clean, Stylish
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot
