Keurig 2.0 K550 Brewing System

Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review. Cons-You can no longer use the My K-Cup which let's you use your own coffee. Old kcups do not work with the new 2.0 .Pros-Keurig replaced free 8 boxes of K-Cups that no longer worked with the 2.0. I gave two (2) Keurig coffee machines to charity when I bought this one. I was sad when one k-cup did not work even though it was for the new 2.0. I had over 300 k-cups that were for the older machines which ended up in the garbage because I wanted to use the new 2.0 machine. Unfortunately, I found a web search which gave instructions on how to use the old k-cups. I found this site too late to save the old ones, but I did save the one that should have worked. I still find it harder to estimate the hot water only feature as compared to the older brewers. I like to run hot water through the machine after each use.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Large Pot, Stylish, Brews quickly
Cons: Limited Features

my first brewer was a lot different then the 2.0 to get hot water for 6 oz,you have to hold down on the Keurig button, but then you have to do it twice to get a full compliment of hot water,also you cant brew your own individual brand of coffee

Great coffee maker can wait for new K-cups to come out to use all the new features. I love that I can finally brew a whole pot for parties instead of 6 different cups. The strong feature is amazing my Starbucks coffee tastes like I went to a shop to get it. Wish that you didn't have to hold down the brew button for the hot water. Too much wiz and not enough bang!

We use the 550 for coffee every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. Our other Keurig had a 12 oz cup selection and was programmable for brew time and temp. Menus are easy to use.

I'm hooked

I packed my Flavia machine up and am trying the Keurig for the first time. The Flavia is more flexible in terms of the size of cup that can be placed under the brewer and I got used to using a travel mug to direct brew into. This is possible because the Flavia has an adjustable dispenser. I end up having to remove the drip tray in order to use the same coffee mug. A minor annoyance for an otherwise wonderful product. The only other thing that bothers me about the Keurig is that it's clunky to dispense hot water. Why do I have to open the handle and then close it and then be limited to 6 ounces? How about simply a button on the display that says Hot water and let it use the same size cup settings as the coffee? Overall I'm happy I switched from the Flavia mainly due to more flavors being available for Keurig machine's and I'm excited that when several coffee drinkers come to visit we can brew a pot at once instead of each having to do individual cups.

Lovin' the colors

I have not had my new brewer long, but I'm loving it so far. My daughter loved it so much I had to order her one also. I especially love the ability to change the internal colors in the water reservoir. Hey, it's the little things that make me happy.
