Great Idea but needs a lot of WORK

The 550 was sent to me free of charge. Started having pump problem the second day. I used filtered water only. Had to unplug needle after first cup of bold coffee. Had know problems using tea only. The pump started getting much louder after trying to use this 2.0 - 550. Eight weeks I tried. Finally the pump stop all together. Would I buy this model? Yes I would! I'll just wait a while longer until all the gremlins are removed.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to clean, Large Pot, Brews quickly
Cons: Needle Keeps Plugging Up, 6 Oz Hot Water Not Enough, Fill Needle Keeps Pluging, Pump Is Getting Louder, Water Needs To Be Hotter, Needs More Cup Sizes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but...

I got this for the carafe thinking it would replace my having to drag out the Mr. Coffee for multiple cups of coffee for company. Soon after buying it, I received a very expensive and from what I'm told, very delicious bag of coffee. Unfortunately, I have not been able to try it because you no longer carry "my K-Cup" for this new model. I was told by the representative that the old one was never replaced so that we have to buy the carafe cups. Looks like I still have to drag out the old Mr. Coffee! Otherwise, a nice machine. While it's easy to turn the machine on, it's difficult to turn it off. I have it timed to go off after an hour.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Durable, Easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Absolute Waste

I purchased the 2.0 and threw my old coffee maker in the trash can. Did my first cup, and went back and retrieve my old coffee maker which I now use. Coffee too expensive, not enough coffee for price. And the machine has zero way of keeping coffee hot after it has been brewed.
Pros: Looks Nice In Kitchen, Stylish
Cons: Just Dumb, Long Brew Time, Complicated Controls, HARD TO CLEAN, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

I set the whole machine up only to realize that you can ONLY USE KEURIG K-CUPS! We've had a KEURIG for years & generally use a refillable basket filled with our own coffee. We chose not to upgrade to the VUE because it didn't have this option & we were excited to see a new machine come out. With the amount of coffee we sometimes drink in a day, the cost of using the company manufactured cups would be way too expensive, besides I would never purchase a product that required you to buy only their manufacturers' supplies. I really wish I would have realized this before I went through so much trouble.

I have been a Keurig customer and fan for quite sometime. I am currently on my second Special Edition and just purchased my K550 last week. I was so excited at the thought of being able to make a whole carafe...until I realized it won't be hot! The brewer itself is not at all as sturdy and durable as other Keurig brewers and I actually had to microwave a cup of freshly brewed coffee to have it hot enough. The karate packs do not come in a wide variety and I can no longer use my own ground coffee. Disappointed in this one.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Loud, Not Sturdy, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Carafe Is Not Thermal, Not durable, Limited To Official Kcups

Overall not any improvement for end users. If Green Mountain needed to protect it's coffee sales, the company should have made a simple change to the pod holder. Each time I attempt to use an "outdated" pod I want to go to the shed and bring back the older unit. The included water filter is a good feature.
Pros: Fits Counter Nicely, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Very Noisy Pump, Limited Brew Sizes, Loud, Limited Features, No Off Or On Switch, No Offon Switch, On Hand Pods Do Not Work, Older Unit Much Better

Very unhappy with this purchase, you can only use k cups coffee, tank has to be completely refilled before it will brew again and the coffee is not as hot!! Not impressed with this model
Cons: Only Use Their Coffee, Coffee Not As Hot, Complicated Controls, Long Brew Time, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Terrible brewer. Small single cup pours. Machine does not recognize k-cups. I have ruined more than I brewed.
