I got this brewer for my husband as a Christmas present. He is an everyday coffee drinker and I needed something that requires less cleaning, makes coffee quickly and one that lasts. This brewer fits all the above criteria. The stainless steel and black design matches my kitchen perfectly (which is what I mostly care about). My husband loves it. I've had it for almost a month now and occasionally make hot chocolate for myself, which is good. I love the timer option. I make the bigger pots when my family visits and it is incredibly easy, even for a first timer! My only concern is that the brewer sometimes says the K-cup is incompatible, while another cup from the same batch is compatible. For this reason, I do not buy K cups from any place other than the Keurig website also I had to refrain my friends from gifting me K-cups for the fear that it may be incompatible. Apart from that it is a great brewer. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

I think I liked my VUE machine better.

Brand new machine and the auto on function did not work properly. Also, I don't like that you can't select the temperature brew like you could with the VUE brewer. But the bigger carafe is nice when you have company. :)

I am diapointed with this machine after owning the Vue. This machine does not stay on and only allows one auto on set time. My husband and I have different schedules and I need it on for my night shift and he needs it on in the am. It does not take very long to preheat but after haveing the Vue it is a pain. The K550 2.0 does not have a variety of cup selections that the vue had and you can now only use specially marked K cups made by Kuerig Big bummer. I have not looked to see if I can use a filter for fresh grounds coffee beans yet and that is a bummer not having that abilty to use own coffee.
Pros: Large water capacity
Cons: Turns Off, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Can Only Use Marked K Cup, Limited Features, Can Set One Auto Time, Small Pot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once the Keurig is understood, it is good; except for the brewing cycle. It does take longer than my other Keurigs. But fairly, it might be because I do make the 10 oz. strong. So again it might be me and the Keurig. The other limitation is that it only uses the new k-cups. For those of us who have so many cups from my other Keurigs, it is a bit disappointing. Otherwise, you are on the right track. Thank you.

I made a big mistake

I made a huge mistake with the machine - its horrible to us, sounds like a tank, is not easy to use, water is not hot, brewing is inconsistent honestly there is nothing at all that I like. I miss my platinum elite = was the best machine and I am looking all over for one!

I use this system on a daily basis and have no issues with the System. It is nice to have the carafe brewer for more convenience. Just wish the carafe would keep the coffee hot. I would recommend this system to anyone.
