I think it is easy to use, and I like the lights. As long as my coffee is ready when I get up in the morning I am happy. I do think that this system is better then the other models I have had. Thank Keurig for this product.

I have this at home and use it first thing every morning. It brews the perfect cup every time. I have had alot of the Keurig brewers and this one is the best so far.

Great but not Extraordinary

I was excited to get this as in my house coffee is a huge thing to us. Upon first glance it seemed very nice with a sleek design and cute features like the lighted tank and changing the touchscreen wallpaper. Then I saw the carafe it came with and I was a bit disappointed. It looks rather cheap. My next disappointment came when I discovered the larger brew settings for individual cups are not available yet. We use over sized coffee mugs so even the 10 ounce setting doesn't fill our cups. What attracted us to this one was the bigger brew portions as with our previous machine we would have to go through the brew settings twice to get a full cup of coffee. Now with this one apparently the bigger settings will be available at a later date but there is no time frame that I know of. So we are back to pressing the button twice. Another downside is the brewer oftentimes sputters and drips so our brew times vary from 30 seconds to about 2 minutes. While that may not seem like a long time when you expect your coffee to brew in 30 seconds and you look over to see it trickling out its a bit of a let down. And its random. I can make a cup and it will brew fine. Another household member will use it immediately after the coffee just drips. I have also encountered it sputtering and spitting out remnants of a previous brew into my new one. While this sounds not very nice I still use it and have no desire to return it. As it is a new model I get that there are issues that need to be shaken out so to speak. I feel like I expected more and maybe that is part of the problem. Overall we love Keurig and while this one is slightly disappointing as a top of the line model it still does the job.

Cons: Brew Times Vary, Long Brew Time, Carafe Cheap Looking, Loud

Great Coffee When it Works

We are on our 4th K550 in a months time, Keurig has been wonderful in sending us new units however we are tired, we decided to keep the last one even though the clock loses time daily and the whoops sign comes up meaning it will not take our pods, after several tries it finally takes the pods, these pods are the correct pods from Keurig. We wished we could have a K550 that keeps the correct time and produces a cup of coffee every time however when it works there is nothing like the great tasting cup of coffee it provides, the right temperature, a strong flavorful cup of coffee! Another great feature is we are able to brew and serve a pot of coffee to family, guest and friends without brewing one cup at a time!
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Brews quickly, Can Brew A Pot Of Coffee, Multiple Settings, Great tasting coffee
Cons: Whoopswith Right Pod, Clock Loses Time Daily

I use the brewer every day. When I make a carafe it seems to be fine as long as you use it within a few minutes of brewing or the coffee gets cold. They do sell a stainless steel carafe.

Wish I'd stuck with the previous version

am very upset with the purchase of this 550. I had the Platinum version Keurig machine previously and loved it. It had a 12oz setting - now I have to do 2 6oz - I don't like that. I also don't like that you can't use your own reusable K-cups. I have a favorite coffee that doesn't come as a Keurig brand, but unless I trick the machine into thinking that I'm using a Keurig brand coffee, I can't use it. Another thing that I don't like about this machine is that I have to stand there and hold the button down to get hot water for my tea. I love tea, but on the old Platinum that I had, it would brew my hot water while I did something else. I didn't have to stand there and hold a button. Overall, I'm very unhappy with this machine, and think that I paid a lot of money for a HUGE downgrade. Thanks Keurig, for the free packs for this review.
