I love the coffee maker,easy to use,my husband thought I needed this.the only complaint, when using the coffee cups, the coffee is way to strong,Need to make Maxwell coffee into one of your little cups. thanks

I regret purchasing this new model but I should have done my research first. My first Keurig was amazing that I assumed this one would be too. Buyer beware, if your not ready to lose a lot of your brewer's old option then stay away.
Pros: Large Pot
Cons: Long Brew Time, Limited Features, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Buyer Beware

I bought this to replace a 3-yr old brewer that was failing. I thought it was an attractive design, and I liked the carafe feature. But, as I soon learned, looks are deceiving. First, only a few of the pods I owned would work - you have to have pods with the Keurig circle - and there is no easy override (see the web for the ones being shown by other users). Then, 3 weeks into owning it - and after buying new pods (Keurig did send me a box of free pods to appease me) the pump stopped working. Followed the instructions in the book - including unplugging and plugging - and realized that when you unplug, the settings, including the display, all revert to factory settings! A back-up battery costs pennies Keurig! Finally, after going thru the steps in the book to try to fix the machine, I called the help line. Holy cow - the wait on 3 attempts was, on average, advertised as 20 + mins! My life is worth more than waiting for someone to hopefully answer the phone, so I put the old one back in place and have my fingers crossed it will last until I decide to give up my time and call again, or I until I save up and buy a new one.
Pros: Large reservoir, Stylish, Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Cool Display, Quiet
Cons: Limited Pods, Resets To Defaults, Long Wait Help Line, Water Pump Died

I USE IT DAILY AND THE BEST PART ABOUT IT IS HOW FAST AND EASY IT IS. THE ONE AND ONLY NOT SO GREAT THING ABOUT THIS MODEL IS THE FACT THAT I LIKE TO BUY AND GRIND THE COFFEE BEANS AND THE OTHER MODELS HAVE AN ACCESSORY THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DO SO AND USE IN YOU MACHINE BUT NOT FOR THE 550

When using the carafe K cups, it clogs up. I have to dig out the backed up coffee grounds with a paperclip and keep flushing. Very time consuming and wasteful. I bought this unit for convenience and saving time. Though when it clogs and you have to spend an hour unclogging it, it kind of defeats the purpose.

We are disappointed that we can not use different brands of K cups. We received K cups as a gift and had to give them away because not Keurig. Come on Keurig you don't have to be that greety. We are enjoying the different drinks that we tried: Lemonade and Hot Chocolate. The karafe is cheaply made and does not stay warm. We have not cleaned it yet because it is new.
