I was so excited when I got this in the mail from Influenster! I love the touch screen and the different options. It also has a water filter. The coffee brewer heats up quickly & does a great job! I also love that I can make more than one cup for when friends or family come over. My only beef with it is that some of my K-cups from my old brewer don't work in it.
Most people looking to buy this are probably already Keurig users looking to upgrade or people who have wanted one but were waiting for the carafe option so I'm only going to mention a few things that I like and not spend a lot of time there. I'd like to focus on what I don't like in order to help you know what you are getting. I have wanted a Keurig machine for sooo long but just never found a place in the budget for it, being a mother and wife there was always just something more important to buy or spend money on. I was super excited to get a Keurig 2.0 550 for free from Influenster and Keurig to try it out and share my opinions and review the product on their websites. Regardless everything I have to say is my 100% honest opinion and has not been influnced by either company. So quickly the good: -Great Tasting Drinks Fast -Hot Water On Demand -Carafe and cup size functions to make more coffee -Large Water Tank -Easy To Use -Easy To Use Touch Screen/Options -Change Color of Light and Screen So now for the rest of what I think. Starting with the water tank light, I could go either way. Its nice to have the light, change the color, etc. I don't feel it is absoluetely neccessary and is more gimmicky than anything but a lot of people like it and it is neat...we do use it. The large size of the tank is great and lasts awhile so you are not having to fill it up each time you use the machine making your steps and time taken to make coffee shorter. The carafe and it's packs are okay. I haven't been able to find any options while using the carafe packs and it seems like I only get to choose carafe and it brews as is. I've seen references online with being able to make 4-8 cups of coffee in it, but how you would make more than the four I have not been able to figure out. Also four is very misleading, it is approximately four cups, as in measuring cups or some weird sized cups and not standard coffee cups. So if you are brewing it for a group you would still need to brew multiple packs. We've decided after multiple brews that it makes about two and a half standard coffee cups or a full travel mug and a half of a standard coffee cup. This can be a pro or a con...if you have a big group it's still not much so con. However if we are just making coffee for one of us it is perfect. My husband said he likes that it is just about how much he drinks every morning. The other thing that currently is a con, but will hopefully not be a problem as the machine has been on the market longer is the carafe packs are currently hard to find and are very limited in flavors. They are also very costly for the amount they make. They are retailing at various stores for $12-20 for a pack of 8. If it only makes slightly more than the equivilant of two K-cups it costs more to use the carafe pack than the K-cups. I've only seen it in about 5 flavors: Green Mountian Breakfast Blend Decaf, Green Mountian Breakafst Blend Regular, Green Mountain French Vanilla, Folgers and their Donut Shop. The machine will eventually be compatiable with Vue cups to do the fancy variations that the Vue machines can do with froths and such. Right now the Vue cups have not been upgrade like the K-Cups to work with the DRM techonolgy so the current box does not include any of these for samples or have any on the market that we can buy to use with the machine. When the cups are upgraded and can be used in the machine I will like playing with the different types of frothy and fancy drinks, but in the meantime we just sit and wait. The brew hot water on demand is GREAT, however it only does 6 oz at a time so you will have to repeat it a couple of times to fill a standard size coffee cup. I wish you could use the change size option with this. Again this can go either way, pro or con because even having to push the button twice and wait is still faster than waiting for the kettle to heat up on the stove. Do keep an eye on the model number you buy, not all the models of 2.0 have this option! So my biggest complaint and what really makes me give this machine only 4 stars is the DRM techonology. Yay for them they can force us to ONLY use their licenced cups. I do get this is where they make their big money in the repeat buying of the K-Cups and now the Carafe packs. I wouldn't mind that so much becasue I understand they say it will make the best quality drinks with their products since they spent the time and money on research to make them taste great. However I was really looking forward to being able to have the reusable filter that I could use any coffee that I want in the machine. I do realize they have sooooo many flavors and brands out there already, however they don't have them all. Plus some of them are super expensive and hard to find. They wouldn't be loosing out letting me use my own, I would still purchase carafe packs and K-cups, but occasionally I want something they just don't have and with this new machine and their DRM tech that is not currently possible. I am hoping with time and other companies trying to crack their code to put out their own products that Keurig and Green Mountian will come around and create a compatible reusable filter that is licienced and safe to use with the machine. Since the machine is new we will have to just wait and see but if this was one of the reasons you wanted to own a Keurig then the 2.0 is not for you. This is the one thing that if I was purchasing this machine for myself I would have skipped it and went to an older machine still in stores just for this feature alone. Please hear us Keurig and make a reusable filter!!! That is what will make this machine the ultimate and perfect Keurig!!! So that being said it is a good machine, works well and everything we have tried has tasted great. I would recommend it, and I would think about buying one as a gift as long as it fit the person I was buying it for. Just like anything it's not a perfect fit for everyone, but it is a good fit currently for us. It was easy to use, my 9 year old son with supervison was able to watch me make a cup of coffee and then make his own cup of hot cocoa. It's not meant for children to use and should be supervised at all times if they are. That being said the kids would often help make their own drinks via the hot water kettle, stovetop and microwave so as long as they are careful, realize the drinks will be super hot, are supervised and know what the machine does it is simple enough for people of all ages and mental stages to use within reason.
Pros: Makes Good Drinks, Hot Water Fast, Simple to Use, Easy to use
Cons: Expensive, Large Size, Can't Brew Own Coffee

Overall I love the Keurig 2.0. I love the fact you can brew an entire carafe, the amount is perfect for me and my husband. I also love the overall feel and look of the unit and the touch screen. I feel this model is easier to use than the last model I had. I am disappointed that I can't use my old K-cups. All my old k-cups are "Keurig brand" in other words we don't have any generic or store brand cups, and yet some don't work and some do. Also, the older model was tall enough to accommodate my 24 oz tumbler, but this one does not. I am able to tilt it on it's side though and it works ok. The coffee is, of course, delicious and I look forward to more of the large carafe cups being available because we haven't found any in stores yet. Overall I love this brewer and we are thrilled to have it. I did receive this free to review through Influenster.
Pros: Not Bitter, Smooth Taste, Love The Touch Screen, Love The Carafe, Pleasing Aroma, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Roast, The Unit Looks Very Nice
Cons: Can't Use Old K-cups, Can't Use Very Tall Mugs

We are loving using the Keurig 2.0! We have been using the Keurig Brewing Systems for awhile now, which is awesome! We love the convenience and variety of the K-Cups, but sometimes we wished we could brew a larger amount when having guests over or enjoying a lazy coffee Sunday. With the Keurig 2.0, we can do that! It is so nice to have the options without sacrificing great coffee variety, quick brewing, and convenience. As with the other models, the Keurig 2.0 is great quality and beautiful design. Nothing I would change!

Keurig 2.0 is a Beauty in My Kitchen

I received a Keurig 2.0 for free for review from Influenster. The new Keurig 2.0 is quite an upgrade from my Keurig K45. I really love the ability to brew a whole carafe to share with my husband on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Like my older Keurig, the 2.0 still brews a great single cup of 10 oz coffee, but now I can make it a strong brew. The only downfall, I cannot use my reusable k cups in this brewer. I love brewing loose leaf tea and I brewed a fresh cup daily with my old Keurig. For this reason, I cannot give the 2.0 a perfect rating. Please create k cups that are reusable with the 2.0 brewer.
I seriously adore the new Keurig. Besides the more contemporary design, I love that this new model can be set to have my coffee brewed and ready for me. No more turning on the Keurig, waiting for it to warm up, and THEN making my coffee. PLUS, with the new Carafe you can make 4 cups at a time, so when you have guests or family you don't have to take turns brewing a cup of liquid wake-up. Very functional, not overwhelming in comparison when it comes to counter space, and overall awesome product! I received my Keurig K550 compliments of Influenster and Keurig to review. #InfluensterVox #HelloKeurig

In love with coffee!

I LOVE this coffee maker because of the ability to make many cups at once. I have had a smaller Keurig for some time and while I loved the variety and ease, it wasn't the best when we had groups of people over...we had to brew one cup at a time. With the "upgraded 2.0, I can make 1 carafe to serve many people AND the coffee actually stays hot!
Pros: Multiple Brews, Set Alarm, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
