Issue with carafe

Have only had this model since Thanksgiving Day, 2014. Had to have replacement sent for issues with brewing. Now, after only 60 days, the brewer will not work when using the carafe...keeps showing the "more water needed" screen. I think for the price this shouldn't be an issue after only 60 days.

We took our Vue to our office and bought the 2.0 for home use. We have great regret as the 2.0 has been a huge disappointment. We have only used the proper cups and frequently have trouble with the brewer saying they are the wrong cups. Times we would like a cup of tea, it is nearly impossible to get hot water from the brewer. The coffee doesn't brew hot, much less stay hot. It is noisy. The clock runs extremely fast so is useless.
Cons: Doesn't Stay Preheated, Can't Get Water For Tea, Complicated Controls, Says Cups Are Wrong, Limited Features, Loud, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

I have absolutely loved my old Keurig but it broke. so they sent me this upgraded model which is horrible. First, the touch screen didn't work right. sometimes it read that I was touching, but mostly it didn't. Next, I wanted to run a pot of water through to clean it before first use. you can't do that! There MUST be a pod in place to run it. if you want hot water, you have to stand there and hold the button and it only gives 6 oz of hot water at a time. so I emptied an old pod and put it in there so I could just hit the button and walk away. but the biggest cup you can brew with a regular pod is 10 oz. my old one was 12 oz and all my mugs hold 12 oz. so now I have to brew 8 oz then 4 oz to get a full cup of coffee. the 12 oz setting is only available if you have a k-carafe pod in. I thought I would love that but you have to brew the whole 4 cups at the same time or the first cup is too strong and the 4th cup is too weak. I have boxes of wonderful organic pods that are A&P brand that won't work in this new 2.0 model. they are too short. they did that on purpose so you have no choice but to buy their coffee pods. its a horrible design all around so I immediately shipped it back and now I'm waiting for them to send me the next lower one.

Cons: Limited Features, Complicated Controls, Must Use Keurig Pods Only, Touch Screen Doesn't Work, 12oz Setting On K-carafe, Have To Hold For Hotwater, Smaller Cup Sizes For Pod

This is the best Keurig I ever owned. It makes a great cup of coffee or tea or hot chocolate. It is noisier than my Keurig K75.

I fully agree with BOB (9/8/15). I am not impressed with this new machine. Keurig went from making an amazing single cup machine to something more for the "coffee pot" drinkers and seemed to have forgotten about us single cup drinkers. The limited cup size selection is not good, you can't customize to your perfect cup (example you can only default to the 8oz and have to push buttons from there to get to 10 oz etc), the clock doesn't hold time, everything is customizable for the carafe only. Favorites button setting is only for carafe. Keurig..please keep in mind the people you created this machine for originally and make it better from there..not worse. I have been a Keurig owner since the beginning of Keurig history and this is the first time I felt I actually got downgraded when I upgraded. Very disappointed.
Pros: Touch screen is nice
Cons: Limited Features, Too Many Cons To List

My Keurig B70 Platinum died so I needed to replace it and decided on the 550. Received it today and made my first cup. The machine is loud when it is brewing. I do not know how to even describe the sound its almost like it pulls the water up one step at a time to brew. The other thing I dislike is that it only brews a 10oz cup so in order to fill my travel mug I have to brew a 10oz wait for it to finish open the K Cup dispenser close it again and brew another 4oz cup to fill the mug. I didn't have these problems with the noise or the travel mug in my old B70. Why would they not make the larger size for the travel mugs. I think this is getting repackaged and returned. So disappointed!!!!

I thought perhaps the first one I purchased of this model was a lemon...I've owned 3 other Keurig models...but unfortunately, not the case, unless this is a lemon too. I used the K-cups that came with it and after using it for six days - about three times a day - it now drips and splashes all over the place. Worst model ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to the next model...K550 failure again

Bought the K550 in late January 2015; stopped brewing in February 2015. BB&B replaced it. Stopped brewing in October 2015; BB&B replaced it. 6 days later, it stopped brewing again. Using Starbuck's pods. Won't even brew water (yes, you have to hold the button...really?). Time to hire new designers and put out quality machines rather than garbage. Will go back to BB&B to get a 4th machine in 9 months because we have quite a few $$ invested in pods. Will probably look for a new system and take the new one back when we're through with the pods.
