We got our first 2.0 and it failed after 3 weeks . We thought maybe it was a bad lot so we returned for another and it has exactly same problems after exactly same amount of time. We've used our last Keurig for years and never had any issues. We will be returning this model once again but coming home with the older style. Very frustrating a BIG INCONVENIENCE!
Cons: Clogging Needles, Works Very Inconsistently, Not worth the money, Pods Explode Inside
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor sizing options

Bought this model as a replacement for K40 model I had previously, which I loved. The K40's 11.25 oz option made a perfect strength cup of coffee. The ounce limit cap for the K550 is set at 10 oz.. The K550 features state "10 Brew Sizes". Bologna!! I don't want to buy yet another product (Vue) to have the option of 12 oz. If I wanted a cup of mud, I would grind, measure my own and use a Mr. coffee! I am so disappointed with Keurig AND this product. Do not buy the Keurig 2.0 system until they expand the K-cup size options.
Cons: Limited Coffee Oz Sizes, Limited Background Colors, No My K-cup Accessory Use, Limited Features
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Ancient F. We understand and we want to help! You can brew a larger cup with your K550 Brewer. You are correct in that the K-Cup pack only brews up to a 10 ounce size. However with the Vue packs you can brew up to 14 ounces. All Vue packs can be found here on Keurig.com and do offer a varitey of flavors and brands. If you would like to talk more, we would love to hear from you! Feel free to call our Customer Care at 866-901-2739. Thank you

Dissapointed/surprised by Keurig...

I'm dissapointed and surprised Keurig seems to have taken several steps backward. I really loved my old machine. Issus I have with this new brewer include: 1) Limited to 6ounces of hot water dispensed and must hold down button to do so. Really??? Who thought that was a good idea? To get more than 6oz, you must wait for machine to reheat then lift/close handle and then hold button again. Once more, Really??? 2) Power button is part of the LCD display and requires you holds down for 2-3seconds before shutting down. This gets annoying... 3) When water level drops too low, you must refill before you can shut off machine... Over all I find it very difficult to see how any end user testing of this product was done.Really unfortunate Keurig...Looks like you created solutions in search of a problem, not the other way around...
Pros: Larger water reservoir, More Quiet
Cons: Poor Design Useability

it is bad for Keurig to have to go this route, having an expensive machine and then make you buy only Keurig cups (reader is inside the machine and reads top of the cups).
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Small Pot, Illegal Way To Do Busines, Cann Only Use Keurig Cups, Limited Features, Blackmailing You, Can Only Use Keurig Cups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing Xmas gift

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and what a disappointment this turned out to be. I bought this with the reusable filter with the intent that he could brew his own coffee if he chose to. Turns out it doesn't take kcup accessories so the filter was useless, it only takes a certain type of kcup and the carafe isn't insulated so it doesn't keep your coffee hot. I returned it to the store and got the K40 elite. Very disappointed would not recommend the new ones to anyone
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Limited Features

Hi Disappointed, The My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology because the brewer has no way of determining what beverage is being used or how much coffee is being added, and therefore cannot adjust to factors such as brew strength and amount of water, which could represent a safety concern. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. To ease the transition to 2.0, please call our Customer Care team at 866-901-2739.

Only K-Cup packs that have a white, gray or lavender outer ring with the Keurig Brewed seal can be used in 2.0. You can also look for the Keurig Brewed seal and checkmark on the box as well.

multiple cup size what a joke

when you get the box it says makes 5 size cup, bull....what it doesn't say is that all the kcups you have from other companys that didn't sign a contract with them won't work any more, yes they send you cups to replace them but I like for example the San Francisco Bay brand because of the design being more earth friendly and not brewing through plastic. If you choose the reqular Kcups you get the choice of 4-10 ounce cup. No longer can you choose a 12 ounce size as that is how my husband likes his coffee (a little on the weak side). You have to buy special travel mug sizes of which you pay the same but get less cups in the store. And to get those you really have to order from Kuerig and there are only a few that will work in the new machine. There are a bunch of choice buttons but as the lady at the call center said they are for future updates! really!!! Kuerig needs to be upfront on the front of the box and tell consumers that they are hijacking our choices of coffee. This is my coffee maker and I should be able to choose the coffee I want to put in there. When this one breaks...unless they unlock the choice buttons so I can use my coffee, get the size and strength from any cup I use I will find the one of the other 3 brands that will take any cup on my counter.
Pros: Brews quickly
Cons: Limited Features
