Disappointed in this product

Verified Purchase:No
I bought this for my wife for Christmas and it worked great for two weeks. Now, every time its used we have to "purge the needle"of coffee grounds about 10 or so times for it to start brewing again. This process takes about 20 minutes, I don't want to spend this much time "fixing"the coffee put that is supposed to be superior to other coffee pots.
Pros: Nice design, Easy
Cons: Confusing Display
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had higher hopes for 2.0

I feel like the 2.0 was a step backwards from the Platinum. Taking away the 12 oz cup size, having to press and hold the water button, and not being able to program a default cup size are the reasons why I returned this brewer. I am hopeful the 3.0 will be better or just enhance the platinum models.
Pros: 80 Oz Resevoir
Cons: 12 Oz Cup Size Is Gone, Press And Hold Hot Water, No Default Size
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Weak Carafe

I use my Keurig 2.0 everyday. I would love to use the carafe more often but the carafe coffee is too week. There need to be a strong option for the carafe coffee. Also, the coffee does not stay hot in the carafe and I can not find the insulated carafe for the brewer. I like the carafe idea but it is not a good idea if the coffee does not stay hot.
Pros: Not Bitter, Pleasing Aroma
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Carafe Coffee Not Strong
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice but with some exceptions

This is the latest in the line of several Keurig brewers we have purchased but it could be the last. Bought this brewer to replace a Platinum Series that we had that gave out after two years (which seems to be the life expectancy for Keurig brewers). Though the new 2.0 Series is stylish and has improved the interface by adding color, etc. it falls short in some functional areas. The first area is that brew size is limited to 4,6,8 and 10oz. Our old brewers had additional cup sizes that allowed us to brew and fill travel mugs without sacrificing flavors. With the 2.0 model you need to cycle through the sizes each time you brew a cup of coffee unless you want the default 8 oz size. Our old brewers allowed us to set a favorite setting so that we did not have to cycle through sizes. As a number of other reviewers have noted you can only use the K-Cups with the white ring around the label - anything else will NOT work including the My K-Cup attachment to brew ground coffee. Is this a decision to somehow limit independent K-Cup manufacturers whose coffee is not available through Keurig? One other small point - the lid on the fill tank top must be held open by hand when filling the tank - it does not rotate enough to stay open on its own. On the positive side the brewer is stylish and the user interface is very nice with the addition of night light effects as well for the water tank. The energy saving feature is nice as well if you don't mind waiting for the brewer to warm up to temp. The water seems to be hotter for a brewed cup as well. The key here is to see how long this brewer lasts compared to our past history (about 2 years). I do want to comment about customer service - the experience we have had has been exceptional. Our first Platinum Series brewer died 1 month after the warranty expired but customer service sent us a new brewer free of charge. When our last one died they sent us a certificate for two boxes of coffee. I'm glad I used points to reduce the price to $99 for this brewer - I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. I will consider other brewer brands when this 2.0 brewer gives out. Be sure this is the brewer you want - there are some other alternatives in the Keurig line without these issues. Bring back the platinum series!!!
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love This Brewer!

I received this product complimentary to test and review from Influenster. We have used the Keurig 2.0 K550 everyday for 2 months. We absolutely love this brewer. The digital set up was easy. I love the hot water dispenser, it initially dispenses 6oz of water while holding down the button. If you would like an extra 2 or more ozs of water, repeat only release the button when you have the desired amount of water, genius!!!! I like the larger water reservoir, the fact you can brew a cup or carafe(that is great for company). The added night light is a really cool addition. The fact that taste of the coffee has not been compromised is a big plus! There are two drawbacks for me, 1. You cannot use your own loose coffee in this model 2. You cannot control the temperature of the water like on my last Keurig modal. Otherwise, like I said we love this brewer!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Durable, Hot Water Dispenser, Fast
Cons: Cannot Set Temp Of Water, Cannot Use Own Coffee
I would recommend this to a friend!

not as good as my current model

not impressed with the K550 - back it goes! to me, its a downgrade from the keurig model i have. and the K550 is "suppose" to be the top of the line. not - hot water on demand feature only does 4-6 ounces and i have to hold the button for the water to come out. on my current model, i can pick the cup size and i don't have to hold the button for hot water. press it and the water comes out. - can't use my k-cup - too much confusion on what i can or can't use. - will be looking for a brand that lets me have some say so in the process. - this is a big time disappointment.
Cons: Limited Features, Not As Hot As Current One
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

impossible to insert filter cartridge. cannot snap off bottom as shown. splashes coffee while brewing. cannot save coffee size. platinum was better, but pump went after only 10 months of use. Keurig customer service is one of the worst I have ever dealt with.
Cons: Cannot Save Cup Size, Bad Cartridge Filter, Cartridge Filter Impossib, Splashes While Brewing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big disappointment - buy older model

First I am a long time Keurig platinum brewer user for years- my machine has lasted strong for over 4 years and love it. I received the 2.0'as a gift and sent it right back. I will continue to use my older model. The 2.0 is no upgrade from the old model unless you care more about a colored nightlight and wallpaper on the digital display than the taste of coffee. It seems Keurig must have rushed to get this machine out so they could collect licennsing fees at the expense of the consumer. I did try to use and found the same results as many other reviewers: Can't use own coffee or my kcup Carafe is not insulated and does not stay hot Pump is much louder than original machine Brew time is much longer than original For hot water on demand must stand and hold button forever! After using twice had to clean needle already My old machine is going strong after years and i will continue using until Keurig makes and actual upgrade to this machine. BUY OLDER MODEL!
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Loud, Long Brew Time, Can't Use Own Kcup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
