This is an expensive brewer and should work flawlessly. I drink a lot of tea and one of the biggest reason I bought this was for the instant hot water, your supposed to be able to get 6 oz of hot water NOT...first of all you should be able to get more than 6 oz at a time but you will be lucky to get that many times I only get 2 oz and have to do it over and over again. Not impressed with this over priced machine.
That doesn't sound right. Please give our Customer Care team a call at 866-901-2739 and they'd be happy to help you resolve any issues with your brewer.

Today is our 6th day of ownership. Have brewed a couple of carafes & about 20 singles. Unit died on the 3rd single today. Kept my previous unit since I knew this one wouldn't work with cups I already bought. Defiantly will return, not sure if I'll exchange.
Pros: Simple Filter Install, Large Pot, Reservoir Capacity
Cons: Limited K-carafe Selectio, No Backwards Compatibilit, Poor Quality, Unreliable, Complicated Controls, Doesn't brew hot enough, Inconsistent Cups Sizes, Limited Brewing Options, Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot

Fast & looks good but carafe too small

We bought this Keurig 2.0 K550 coffeemaker after viewing a television commercial depicting an unfortunate family that lived in a neighborhood where everyone around them expected a free drink. Not only that, they all expected different drinks. These people reminded my wife of our friends and how our Cusinart 7-cup machine was unable to meet demand during our last party. She decided we had to have our own Keurig 2.0 K550 coffeemaker lest we disappoint the masses that were sure to demand free drinks. I wish the Carafe were larger and the price of the K-cups were smaller. We will use this machine at parties. The Cusinart stays for daily drinking. I drink 5 cups of coffee per day. The carafe just isn't big enough. It can make hot tea and hot chocolate!
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Small Pot

Very Disappointed

Before buying my New Keurig 2.0 550, I had a Keurig Platinum for 3 years. I loved my Platinum and never had a single issue with it. That is the reason I opted to "upgrade" to the 2.0. My husband and I wanted it simply because of the ability to brew a pot for when we had guests over. Upon initially setting up our new brewer, i installed the filter system. It is a large plastic wand that holds the filter in place at the bottom of the water reservoir. It states on the instructions to push firmly, which I did. Three of the four plastic tabs that lock the wand into place busted off! It will not stay in place. After finally getting that issue resolved, I set up the rest of the machine displays. Guess what ... the clock does not keep time! I have to reset it daily because it is ahead of actual time. Right now it is 11:19 am and my brewer is displaying 11:45. I just reset the clock two days ago to the correct time. Finally, the "pot" is not insulated and does not keep coffee hot. You're better of brewing individual cups. I gave my Platinum brewer to my aunt, who loves it. I wish I had kept it and the money I wasted on this new model. I'm very, very disappointed.
Pros: Brews quickly, Stylish
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Filter Wand Breaks Easily, Small Pot, Clock Function Is Useless

Hi James, let us help you out, included carafe is not insulated, we have introduced the Keurig 2.0 Thermal Carafe, which retains an optimum beverage temperature for at least an hour. New 2.0 is a complete RIP OFF

My 81 year old mother received a mini Keurig as a Christmas gift. Had to return it due to the recall. Decided to go with the new 2.0 because of the carafe. What a waste! In my opinion this machine was built for Keurig to gain the monopoly on their own K cups. If my mother had known it would only accept their brand I don't think she would have purchased it. She called the number for Keurig with no satisfaction to her problem. So now she has all these K cups that she can't use in her system. For a senior on a limited income this is not acceptable. What a rip off!!!

Hi Unsatified Senior, To ensure you are purchasing the right K-Cup packs for the new Keurig 2.0 system, look for the call-out on the box “For Use in All Keurig K-Cup Brewers.” K-Cup packs with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology have the Keurig Brewed logo and circular ring around the outside of the pack. More details here: http://krg.bz/FBcbt. If you own a Keurig 2.0 brewer, but currently have K-Cup packs without the Keurig Brewed seal and an outer ring on the lid, please contact our Consumer Care team at 866-950-2326 and we will be happy to help you.

I Can't Brew My Own Coffee.

This would be an excellent choice if i could still brew my own or other non Keurig coffee's. Now i find that i have to hack a product to just so i can brew what i want. That's absurd. I'm sure that i won't do this again. Oh yeah i forgot. I can't get to the favorites menu without tricking the machine with a magnet. Again this is absurd. Fix this please and soon or this will be the last Keurig i will buy ever.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Easy to clean
Cons: Can't Brew My Own Coffee

I would never buy another Keurig coffee maker after my experience with the Vue. It was supposed to be their new technology and I was excited to see the Vue line of coffee pods expand. WRONG! Someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided not to continue with the Vue. The selection of coffee pods remains minimal, and after writing to them and not receiving a response, I'm even more disappointed. They charge a lot of money for these machines and in return have no long term view of how their decisions will affect their customers. The reviews I have read on the 2.0 confirm everything I thought about their concern for their customers. The 2.0 was designed to force you to buy their coffee pods. Period! Their response to this is just hype.
