We received the new 2.0 Keurig 550 last week and we love the new design and features of this amazing hot brewing system. We received k-cups and k-carafes with the brewer and purchased k-mugs. We use our k-550 EVERYDAY! I love the option of a cup, a travel mug or a carafe of coffee in the morning. I also, appreciate that I can have a carafe "auto brew" and set that up the night before and have a pot of coffee ready when we get up! Thanks! I am disappointed in the hot water distribution. (That it is not automatic [have to hold the button down to get just 6oz. of hot water] SERIOUSLY? Also not happy that the 12oz. option from my other Keurig brewer is not available on the less expensive k-cups only the k-mugs. What we've gained far outweighs what we "lost" in the new system. So, yes I would purchase this for a family member or friend. (Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.)
Pros: Auto Brew Setting, Multiple Brew Sizes
Cons: K-cups Not Brew 12oz, No Auto Hot Water Feature

I bought the K550 for my office, I like the small pot feature along with individual cups. I am surprised that the system is noisier than the other series like the K60/K65 series. I have one at home and it is very quiet. I was also disappointed that you don't have a 12oz option on the 2.0 that you do on the k60/k65. I do think that you should sell the 2.0 system with a stainless steel carafe instead of the plastic one that comes with the system, the plastic one gave a plastic flavor which wasted a pot of coffee, I had to buy one separately. I do like the programming features and the different light options as well as the wallpaper. I do wish that Keurig offered more flavors in the K-carafe cups like they do in the regular K-cups. New customers do need to be aware that the 2.0 system does not take all K-cups from any manufacture, it will only accept the newer K-cups from 2014 to present and only Keurig brand at this time. I had to call Keurig directly to find this information out. I have a few negatives but over all I do like the system. I was also disappointed to find that most of the other individual systems were discontinued when the 2.0 system came out, I thought of getting a K60/K65 series because of some of these negatives but wasn't available without going to an outside source and paying a much higher price. "Thanks Keurig for the free pods for this review"
Pros: Brews quickly, I Bought The K550 For My, Stylish
Cons: Plastic Taste With Pot, Not Enough Ounce Settings, Noisier Than Other Series, Loud

I use my k550 everyday that I am at home. It's user-friendly and stylish. The only problems are I wish there was a way to show the clock without having the whole brewer on, and it is pretty loud but brews quickly so you don't have to suffer for long. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings

Our first experience with single brew and that's what we like about it, my wife and I can each choose what blend we want . We had hesitated about a new coffee system, but so glad we did. The 550 is perfect for us.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Brews quickly, Multiple Settings
Cons: Not Tall Enough For A Mug

I love the great quality coffee and convenience that Keurig offers. It is the easiest way to brew an excellent cup of coffee, time after time. My ONLY (and very slight) criticism, is that when you use a regular size cup, it produces drops/splashes of coffee (from dripping high above the cup) on the surrounding countertop. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.
Pros: Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Brews quickly, Stylish
Cons: Coffee Splashes On Counte

Coffee is never bitter and K-Carafe pods are great!

I had a 3rd party K-Cup brewer before I got my K500, and I wish I had just started with a genuine Kuerig in the first place! The coffee is never bitter or overextracted as long as you use the right settings (I usually stick to 8oz for most, or 6oz for lighter roasts) and always use the "Strong" setting. My old system I had to put water into everytime which led to variability, and even with its Strong setting, the coffee was usually bitter, but I just thought that's how K-Cups were. And I used to think they were expensive, but I realized after getting deals online and coupons, they're not really that bad, and I realized all my K-Cups were the Genuine ones that work with 2.0 brewers anyways and I had gotten them for cheap! I like that the K500 can dispense water...but I don't really like how you have to hold the button down. The K-Carafe pods are great! They come out perfect no matter what water size you use and it's the perfect amount of coffee. And when you think about using Starbucks coffee and such, the cost for a K-Carafe pod is about the same as brewing a pot of high-end coffee anyways, and you can recycle the pod plastic. I'm very happy with my K500 and just wish I had gotten it over a year ago instead of dealing with sub-par coffee from a knock-off machine!
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Large Pot
Cons: Limited Features

I use my Keurig everyday and I was SO EXCITED about upgrading to this brewer. It's very attractive and makes a great cup of coffee. I feel like if I could just figure out the programming for the auto on/off so that I didn't have to wait for it to heat up it would be next to perfect.
Pros: Easy to clean, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Large Pot
Cons: Complicated Controls, Loud, Long Brew Time, Unclear Limited Instruct
