We purchased the Keurig 2.0 K550 to upgrade from the D70. Big mistake! 1) Hot water on Demand - It only allow 6oz of water and holding of a button to dispense is an inconvenience. The K70 allow you to choose from different sizes and dispense automatically once the lid is closed. 2) The brew time is MUCH slower than the K70 3) The water filter is very flimsy and the bottom is difficult to remove without breaking it. In the K70, the water filter is very durable and built to last. 4) The carafe provided with the brewer is plastic and doesn't keep the coffee warm for long periods of time. An upgrade to a thermal carafe will enhance your experience. 5) The size cup options are minimal compare to the K70. 6) It's not compatible with all K-cups like the K70 Bottomline is I will be returning the Keurig K550 and stick with my Platinum K70 until it clunks out and forced to purchase another Keurig. Hopefully, the kinks will in the new Keurig 2.0 will be worked out by then.
Pros: Large Pot, Brew A Pot Of Coffee, On Screen Options, Stylish
Cons: K-cups Compatibility, Lack Of Hot Water Options, Long Brew Time, Limited Features

Keurig 2.0 K550 Review

I purchased this product on August 15th and have not missed a day using it. I use this product at a minimum of 2 times per day during the week and multiple times throughout the day on the weekends. One of the many things I love most is that I am able brew coffee that I want and also brew a separate cup for my husband. However, if we are both in the mood for the same flavor, I can choose the K-Carafe and make 4-5 cups at once. This was the one feature that stood out to me in addition to being able to select the strength of the coffee...I do wish that feature was available for the carafe brewing. I had the older K45 model and am very pleased that the K550 did not take up any more space than the older model. My children also love this brewer since they can now select the type of beverage (usually hot chocolate) they are brewing. Being able to choose the screen background and layout is also a really nice touch. Now the light in the Keurig can match the color scheme of the kitchen. Overall, the K550 is the BEST coffee machine I have had thus far.
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Large Pot, Flip Up Water Lid, Stylish
It is convienient. It does not brew the chosen size!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to clean, Durable, Easy to use, Brews quickly
Cons: Small Pot, Doesn't Brew Right Amount

I do like that you have options for either a cup, mug or carafe when selecting how to brew...I do wish that there was an option to select brew size for default instead of having to change the size every time for a cup other than 8 oz and a way to change water temp because my wife like coffee really hot but overall it is a fantastic brewer. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.
Pros: Brews quickly, Durable, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: No Temperature Adjustment

My husband and I love this machine! It's so versitile. We usually just do k-cups, but we have brewed with the karafe before and liked it. We like having the option of having different coffee in the morning, so the k-cups are great for that. Our friends and family love having a freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea this machine provides. Keurig is an outstanding company overall, because they offer great deals on their coffee. This review (it could have been good or bad and they still would have compensated for it) earned me free pods. Luckily this is a very postive review. This is the ultimate coffee machine and I can't imagine life without it. Thanks, Keurig!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Brews quickly, Easy to clean, Easy to use, Durable, Stylish
Cons: Small Pot, Wish It Brewed More

I am very particular when it comes to my coffee, and the Keurig 550 fills my needs. I get tension headaches and as most people know Caffeine helps greatly with both tension and migraine headaches. When you do not fill that good because of a headache, the ease with which you can brew a cup of coffee is a great selling point. Literally, a headache killer.
Pros: Brews quickly, Easy to use, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings

K550 - Fine new brewer

This is my second Keurig brewer, I like the fact that it has an eighty oz. reservoir, a touchscreen control for cup sizes, an improved pump system, single pod and carafe settings and that it is easy to use. Starbucks Sumatra is my favorite brew and each pod is fresh and the coffee is great, cup after cup. I use the brewer every day for multiple cups. This appears to be a fine new machine.
Pros: Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Large Pot, Easy to use, Brews quickly
