Worst Idea ever

This is the worst idea ever thought of, it will not allow you to brew any brand of coffee not made with the Keurig brand. I have tried to call and see if you can disable this option but I was told I'd have to buy a different brand of coffee or machine. I am returning the machine and never using this brand again.
Cons: Not Enough Flavor, Unpleasant Flavor

Can't decide if I like it

This is my first system. I held out this long because I like to make a small pot every once in a while. This is what made this product enticing to me. However, I was also hoping to be able to purchase re-usable cups and assumed a new system would still allow for that. Otherwise, the price per cup is too high, especially now that I can't just grab any "Keurig compatible" cups. Really considering returning the system to the store.
Pros: Brews quickly, Stylish
Cons: Not All K-cups Work, Can't Use Reusable Cups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, we do not endorse using any product in or with our brewers other than those that carry the Keurig or Keurig Brewed logos. If it’s not a Keurig product, you should look to see if it has the Keurig Brewed seal. Keurig Brewed is the only mark of genuine Keurig quality. It’s our seal of approval that assures the quality, taste and safety of every cup. While The My K-Cup accessory and other reusable filters are not compatible with Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology, we offer a diverse portfolio of nearly 400 different beverages from 60 brands, giving consumers lots of choices – no matter their taste preferences or their budget. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system. We're sure you can find something that will fit your taste!

Received as early Christmas present from my kids visiting from out of town. I have old model and told kids to return this model- I am keeping the old model. Seems Keurig just rushed to get this machine out so they could control fees from companies to use kcups. Cannot use own coffee Carafe gets cold quickly No larger size coffee mug choice I hope Keurig takes a long hard look at all the reviews here and on QVC - everyone I know has returned this machine! Very disappointing! Would have gave no stars but that is not a choice,
Cons: Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot, Can't Use Own Coffee, Loud, Long Brew Time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Carol, we heard you and we'd like to offer you some feedback. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system. Here are some tips on how to get a bigger brew: Brew a 4-cup carafe using new K-Carafe packs and pour into two 14 oz. travel mugs – there are 11 K-Carafe pack varieties and more to be announced in 2015. Try our Vue packs, which come in 50 different varieties and will work with the Keurig 2.0 system.

Some nice new features

Received the K2.0 550 last week. As always Keurig hits a home run with this Brewer. The only thing I would change to this new brewer would be able to use the Vue pods. The vue pods fits in but will not work. The travel size pod of the Vue would finish out this wonderful brewer.
I was reluctant to make this purchase because I noticed that in most of the stores I visited that carry the 2.0 system there seemed to be a large number of returns. Now I know why. Although the system is convenient and stylish, the user is forced to purchase Keurig approved K-cups. The standard brewing choices for this machine are limited to 4-10 oz cups of coffee or a Carafe of coffee. If I choose to make a travel mug of coffee I have to use 2 standard K-cups, a K-Mug or waste a Carafe Pod by pouring out half of the brewed coffee. This is unacceptable. I have almost 16 lbs. of expensive imported Kona coffee beans that I am not able to use unless I make an additional purchase of the now available 2.0 My K-Cup Coffee Filter + S&H. I refuse to be used as a pawn by or participate in Green Mountain/Keurig's decision to limit my choices for using this expensive purchase. While I found many ways to get around Keurig's K-cup scanner, I don't like feeling like I'm doing something illegal or wrong just to use my coffee maker. Keurig should have offered its customers the 2.0 My K-Cup for free or with a steep discount with free shipping. It's just not worth the hassle dealing with this company. So now, I too am returning my Keurig 2.0 560 coffee maker to my local big box warehouse.
Pros: Stylish, Brews quickly

Keurig 2.0

I previously owned a Keurig Elite prior to receiving this product complimentary from Influenster. I can honestly say I love all the new features of the Keurig 2.0, such as the hot water on demand and having the carafe. I would have rated this machine 5 stars except for the fact that you cannot use the refillable/reusable cup that works with the other Keurig machines. It's really disappointing because I am very particular about the different coffee I drink and my favorite does not come in k-cup form. Also, k-cups can get pricey and having the reusable cup is a HUGE plus because I am able to save some money on the cost of k-cups.
Pros: Hot Water On Demand, Carafe Option
Cons: Unable To Use Refillable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Different but not sure if it's better

We've been a big fan of the old Platinum brewer from Keurig. My husband loves it so much we purchased a second one for his office. When I was selected to get the Keurig 2.0 for free from Inflenester we were both really excited for it. In the end we're not sure if we're going to keep using the 2.0 or go back to the old 1.0 version. The 2.0 is pretty and has a slick interface. I like the ability to change the LED light in the water tank (it's the small things..). The touch screen interface does pose some issues though when turning the keurig off and on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. You also are now in a DRM machine where only certain k-cups will work, which is a bummer if there's a certain hot chocolate you love that isn't branded. The machine took FOREVER to lose the plastic taste from the brewed coffee. We brewed vinegar and it took two reservoirs full to finally get the machine taste to abate. The taste still isn't quite as good as from the 1.0 brewer but I think some of that may just be still getting things cleaned out. Brewing is slick and easy and I like how the machine is intelligent enough to figure out which pod is placed and so forth. I did have a downfall with a latte that I have, no matter what setting I use it comes out clumped and curdled. On the old brewer it was fine. The machine is a bit louder than the old one but it's noting unbearable. The big selling feature of this machine is the carafe. It's nice to brew a larger pot for when company is over or for the times you know you'll be home long enough to drink more than a cup. Can't wait for more varieties to come to the carafe. We do miss the ability to control the temperature at which the coffee is brewed but so far that's the only feature (besides not having a DRM machine) that we miss from the old machine. Overall we do like the machine but are hoping to fall in love once we learn the few tweaks needed to make the best coffee possible.
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Unpleasant Aftertaste, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity
