Great machine many restrictions

Hi i am a daily coffee drinker and replaced a broken k70 which i loved now i have the 2.0 550 and it is ok at best due to many restrictions such as cup size for k cups and only keurig approved cups and no temperature settings and having to hold the button the whole time for hot water is a little silly. It does have a nice touch screen and different light settings but not really important to me.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Large Pot
Cons: Limited Features, Loud, Long Brew Time, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review and feedback. The Keurig® 2.0 brewing system adjusts the temperature for you based on whether you have inserted a K-Cup® pod or a K-Carafe™ pod. The factory settings are 192 degrees Fahrenheit (89 degrees Celsius) for K-Cup® pods and 197 degrees Fahrenheit (92 degrees Celsius) for K-Carafe™ pods. We have found that these are the optimal brewing temperatures for the K-Cup® and K-Carafe™ pod. Also, have you heard about our K-MUG pods? Visit www.keurig.com and check them out as they will allow you to brew cups over 10 oz without having to use a Carafe. We hope this information is helpful.

Loving my new Keurig

I have recently purchased the Keurig 2.0 K550 after my Keurig Vue stopped working. I had the Vue for 3 years. I absolutely love the Keurig 2.0 K550. I brew about 4-5 cups a day. It's very quiet and brews a cup of coffee quickly. The carafe is perfect for entertaining and a full carafe is brewed within 3 minutes. The customizable lighting and wallpaper is a nice touch. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.

The water filter is hard to pull apart, have yet to get it done. I have had to reset it a couple of times. Make hot coffee.

I use this machine everyday and have done so since I got it in January. It makes a cup or carafe quickly and the coffee is hot enough. I invested in the insulated carafe and I highly recommend it. I wish they had more flavors for the K Carafe but I am sure they will in due time. This is my first Keurig and I am very pleased. This is my second machine. My first malfunctioned and did not always alert me when the water level was low. The Keurig customer service was great and sent out a replacement immediately. This machine is excellent. It heats up quickly and brews fast. There is a very nice LED touchscreen display that allows for a bunch of options - cup size, brew strength (regular, strong), whether or not it's hot chocolate, tea, etc. and then of course the power button to start brewing. If you lift the handle and close it again without putting a k-cup in, the screen will give you the option for hot water. Just push and hold the button until you have what you want (up to 6 oz) So personally, no complaints with the screen, features, or ease-of-use. The reservoir is nice and large, so there's more time spent making coffee and less time filling up the water tank. Always a plus. Also, this new model comes with a water filter/purifier that attaches to the inside of your water tank. On to the the k-carafe! This is a pretty cool upgrade from the last Keurig. You just slide the included carafe into the slot where the drip tray would go, pop in a carafe pack (a larger version of a k-cup) and you've got roughly 4 cups of coffee brewed in about 2 minutes. Durability of the machine seems solid. Easy to clean and not flimsy. I've only had the machine for a few weeks so have not reached a necessary cleaning point but the construction is well-made. It's got the same materials and feel as the previous Keurig models. My last Keurig (Platinum Elite series) is at least 3 years old and still going strong to this day. As for price, this is a pretty great deal. I certainly can't complain about the price of the machine compared to the old ones (I paid almost double this for the last model when it first came out). Add to that all the sweet extras that come with the K560 package (extra water filter, 48 k-cups, 4 k-carafes) and really there are no complaints possible price-wise. Thanks,Keurig for the free pods for this review as well as I really enjoy sharing my experience without other people.
