not buying new 2.0 because i can only use new cups and can't use refillable kcup in this one. may never buy KUERIG AGAIN this is highly disappointing. just returned my Kuerig Vue due to flavor not being as good as the regular kcup machine.
Pros: Only Uses New Kcups

Hi there Chas, Let us help you out! In order for Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology to deliver the perfect cup or carafe every time, it must read the lid and recognize the K-Cup or K-Carafe pack that has been inserted. Because of this, the system will not brew unlicensed packs. We offer a diverse portfolio of nearly 400 different beverages from 60 brands, giving consumers lots of choices – no matter their taste preferences or their budget. And every beverage and brand that was offered for previous Keurig brewers is also available for our Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology system! We know that you will find something that you like on this link http://krg.bz/1vuya00

Not Compatible, and No My-K Cups

I try to be "green" so I shy away from disposable K-Cups... this machine doesn't support reusable k-cups at all, and they won't be making any (per customer service). Also, since you can only use their product, you are no longer able to drink organic, wet processed coffees... which are healthier for you. I so wanted to love this shiny new coffee maker, but I had to return it so I could keep the garbage level low :)
Pros: Hi Tech, Gorgeous Exterior, Modern
Cons: Often Misreads K-cup, Doesn't Use Older K-cups, Doesn't Use Non Keurig K-, Doesn't Use My K-cup

Outstanding BUT no K cup or older packs

I received the K550 Free from Keurig. It is outstanding but there are limitations. We can't use Keurig packs that we already had on the shelf because they did not have the white ring. Nor can we empty them into a fill-your-own K cup because the machine won't take the K cup. Thankfully, we have an older machine so that we can use up our older coffee. Not being able to use the fill-your-own K Cup is a huge negative.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Outstanding But, Easy to clean, Large Pot, Durable, Brews quickly
Cons: No Self-fill K Cup, No K Cup, Old Keurig Pks Don't Work

I want to be able to make a 14oz cup of coffee with the regular sized pod the way I have always done. I like my coffee weak and even this most expensive brewer does not enable me to make coffee the way I like it!
Pros: Multiple Settings
Cons: Limited Features, Complicated Controls

GOT THIS FOR XMAS TO REPLACE THE ORIGINAL BREWER. AFTER 1 WEEK , BREWER STARTS TO MAKE WATERED DOWN COFFEE NO MATTER IF YOU REDUCE THE SIZE OF CUP AND EVEN ON STRONG BREW FEATURE.TRIED ALL TROUBLESHOOTING METHODS AND JUST ENDED UP SPILLING OUT 8 K CUPS WITH MILK AND SUGAR THAT I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO DRINKING WHICH WERE NOT CHEAP CAUSE THEY WERE GOOD COFFEE K CUPS FROM STARBUCKS. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. BEWARE.
Pros: Multiple Settings
Cons: Strong Doesnt Work, Dont Waste Money, Worked For 1 Week, Coffee Tastes Watered
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, but Limited

I received the Keurig 2.0 free from Influenster to test and review. The machine is beautiful, and so far brews coffee with the same level of quality as the previous two models I've owned. The carafe option to brew between 2-4 cups is a great idea, long overdue, and ideal for situations where you want more than one without having to get up to make another, or guests and don't want to brew individual cups. I think the additional features (bells and whistles) such as choosing a screen saver, the color selection for the water reservoir may be fun, but are unnecessary. The DRM style restrictions on the 'authorized k-cup' brands is disappointing along with not having a reusable filter (as of yet). My family and I enjoy several of the 'authorized' brands, but also enjoy a few others outside of the plastic k-cup styles, that we switch back and forth with, which will now not be permitted in the 2.0. Continued use of the 2.0 will ultimately depend on how affordable the 'authorized' brands stay. The limitation will probably not affect me too much, again depending on affordability of the coffee brands allowed. However, I do think that this will hinder Keurig's image and ability to continue to reach a broad consumer base. Consumers who choose not to use the 'authorized' brands will most likely either choose an older model Keurig, or select a different personal brewing system brand. While I will continue to recommend the Keurig brand, based on my positive experiences with the older models, and so far this 2.0, I will definitely ensure my listener(s) know about the restrictions on the 2.0 to 'authorized k-cup' brands.
Pros: Not Bitter, Carafe Option, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Pleasing Roast, Brews quickly, One Cup Brewing, Pleasing Aroma, Balanced Acidity, Smooth Taste
Cons: No reusable coffee filter, Unnecessary Features, Limits Coffee Selection

I love this new machine! I have seen previous models but there is something about this machine. I love that it's a color display, you can completely program it to your needs, you can hack old Kcups using the lid of a new one so that money is not wasted, it's programmable to come on at a set time that you desire, it brews quicker than the older model machine that my mother has, the reservoir is bigger, etc. I like the stainless steel on black look because it's sure to compliment any kitchen. I would like to thank @Influenster for sending this model to me to test out. It's definitely a hit in my household! Keurig is absolutely a forward-thinking company!
Pros: Older Kcups Hackable, Multiple Settings, Automatic Timer, Brews quickly, Durable, Easy to use, Large Pot, Easy to clean, Stylish

Received the 2.0 to try from Keurig and absolutely love the machine! Love the customizable features of the panel on this machine and the fact that it makes it so much easier to brew 1 carafe when the family is over for dinner instead of having to brew 4-6 cups separately.
Pros: Large Pot, Brews quickly, Stylish, Multiple Settings
