I wasn’t expecting such a beastly appliance! There are dramatic differences from my worn out chef-branded blender and this beautiful beast, in a very good way. I was almost afraid of it, lol. This is a larger, hefty unit. Easily assembles with a “smooth as butter” locking mechanism, I knew immediately that this IS the cream of the crop. Variable speeds are nice, smooth and easy to adjust. Blades are sharp and star shaped. Double the chop factor compared to my old immersion blender. Tasks are literally done before you know it. I definitely recommend it, it is worth every penny!!!

Some really nice features: snaps together and apart easily; rubber foot makes it easy to stand up on counter; strong motor with 5 speeds; easy to handle. The rubber cord clasp is really convenient but hard to close—the design of that could be improved.

Vitamix immersion blender vs. older Cuisinart

I’ve only used my new immersion blender a few times. It is much more quiet than my old Cuisinart, which I loved. It is a little bit heavier, not a problem, and it is much faster at liquifying my soups or smoothies. I think as I use it more, I will love it even more. Yes, you can buy an immersion blender for a lot less money but, this is so much more efficient, it’s worth the extra cost. I think it will outlast the others by many years.
