I chose Vitamix to replace my current immersion blender for the following reasons: a)the soft bottom, which prevents scratching non stick pans. b) the four blade configuration which blends more quickly and smoothly. c) It has reduced suction My previous blender felt as if it wanted to glue itself to the pan.
