This emersion blender is sturdy and does a great job. It is soooo much better than the Cuisinart that I had. I have used the Vitamix for sauces and they come out as intended... smooth, silky or chunky. The only addition for me will be a bag to keep the two pieces organized and together.

I just used my friend's immersion blender to make a creamy vegan tomato soup and it blew me away! So much so that I am ordering one for myself as I type this. It is so powerful, yet quiet and extremely easy to handle. I would definitely getting one to accompany your kitchen arsenal.
