Love it more than I thought I would. Used it on number of things I wasn't planning to for Thanksgiving. Took the lumps out of my gravy during cooking, made great relish from whole fresh cranberries, and finished the job my potato ricer started giving me HEAVENLY mashed potatoes. Super easy to clean. It is a little heavy but for a very good reason ..... this stick is POWERFUL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blender has been so great! I love a good protein shake in the morning and this blender does that no problem! It also whips up recipes so easy. That hasn't been the best part though. This blender works like a charm in making a great puree soup. I am always amazed at what this blender can do!
It has multiple speeds that you can use to find the perfect consistency you need for your recipe or the amount of ingredients that are being used.
It is so easy to clean too! You just twist off the bottom part of it to wash it. My other one didn't un-attach like this one making clean up a pain. You can also easily store it because of this function too.
So whether you are a amateur just needing a good blender or a pro that knows how to cook, this is the immersion blender to get. So powerful, yet delicate enough for whipped cream! Love it!

I bought this to purée soups instead of transferring hot soup to my vitamix blender. I found it heavy for one handed use-(I assume because of the powerful motor). Also because of its power you have to be extremely careful to leave it submerged in the liquid as it splashes all over ugh

ON/OFF requires press & hold VERY distracting

The ON/OFF button requires one to press and hold continuously in order to remain ON. Another button to crank up the speed can also be pressed and held, though you are allowed to press and release the speed one. The inability to press ON/OFF with a press/release option is distracting; I want the focus of my attention to be on the food that I'm making, not preoccupied on holding the ON/OFF button, which otherwise shuts off and speed goes down to zero. If you like to work fast, and efficiently, this will be distracting and you might find it unnecessary, especially if you've worked with other blenders that allow you to keep it ON.

I've had my immersion blender a couple weeks and it's a very powerful machine. My complaints, and why I only give it 4 stars is first, the weight. I have small hands and arthritis in my thumbs which makes it difficult to use as it's quite heavy for this type of blender. My second complaint is having to continually hold down the power button while manipulating the speed. A continuous on button would have made it much more efficient.

Large Portions Great. Small Portions Not Great.

This immersion blender works very well and is great with medium to large quantities of food. However, if the food/liquid does not completely cover the cone part of the blender it does not work well. I bought this hoping it would make 1 portion sizes of ice-creams made with frozen fruit and a liquid as well as sauces in small portions. It seems this is not what it can do. So for this I am disappointed.
