Excellent and Easy to Use

I've had this a little more than a year now, and still use it regularly. The controls are very intuitive, it's easy to use, and always yields good results. I use it often for smoothing out soups in the pot or to make quick emulsions in containers that I can pop right into the fridge.

I am so impressed with the Immersion blender. Blender beautifully, with the 5 speed you can choose give you more control. Another great feature that the motor/handle can be removed form the blending stick with ease. I also purchased the whip and the mini food processor which the motor/handle attaches to each.
The only semi negative, it would have been to have a cover that could be attached over the blades when not in use.
Love the product and would recommend to anyone looking for a great Immersion blender.

I have hand this blender bundle for years. To tell you the truth, I have three. Not because they break but I need to ensure I have backups in case one does. I use this for my bullet coffee everyday and to make my nutnola…granola without grains. It’s like my meditation benche and cushion. If they told me I could only take two items from my home, I would take it and my bench. Just the essentials.

Disappointing length of life

I loved it until the unit stopped operating at full power. It lost torque and could not even whip cream. Very disappointed in its durability.

Powerful But Compromised

This blender feels solid in the hand, but the collar bit that locks the shaft to the motor is made with cheap plastic, and mine ended up snapping. This is literally the worst place to have cheapened out because when that plastic breaks the whole thing becomes useless and they refuse to sell replacement shafts so they are impossible to find, forcing me to go with a different brand.
Another major issue is that the plastic blade guard is way too tall, which means you need a substantial amount of liquid to cover the entire head otherwise it spits liquid everywhere and creates a huge mess. Also the steps between power levels is awkward where 1-3 feel very weak, 4 is okay but still feels too weak for many applications, and 5 is complete overdrive. I wish it had a smoother gradient between power levels.
In the right situation this blender works really well because on max power it's super powerful and I like the simple operation, but it's way too fragile with that plastic locking piece meaning it has no place in a serious kitchen, especially since Vitamix refuses to sell replacements.

Good option

I find it convenient for when you just want to do something quick or a small batch and want to avoid bringing out the big ammunition lol! I like that cleaning its just a big cup with water and soap.
I like the plastic, protection for my pots, it is a heavy duty wand, it hooks and unhook easily, a few times I had to stop to do something and rather than taking the immersion out of the pot I would just unhook and divide, then put the top heavy part on the counter until I came back.
I do will love if Vitamix created attachments for this beauty, is such a strong wand that is almost a crime not take more advantage of it and create attachments like other brands have done, a WHISKY Attachments would be so awesome. This product needs more versatility please.

An immersion blender is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I have a Vitamix that I use every day, so I was sure the immersion blender would be as top quality as the rest of Vitamix's products. I was not disappointed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the weight. I have small hands with some arthritis, and the weight of the blender made it a little more difficult to use. I like it enough, though, that I got my son one for Christmas.
